That was actually quite scary since it was winter and the roads weren't the greatest.

Were you cool, calm and collected at your wedding? Yours was such a pretty wedding too! I didn't have a major breakdown, but I was a bit of a spazz a few times the night before the wedding.

Like you, I didn't think any bride would have gone to a salon alone to get her hair done for her wedding. I thought that was strange. As for the chopping all the hair off...I was actually quite worried that she had serious emotional problems!!! I had a friend who was bi-polar and she went from extreme to another. She once chopped off her own hair (not for a wedding, because she's never been engaged or married), but because she was having a bad hair day. Mind you, I'm not friends with her anymore. She was once my best friend, but with her mental stability so unpredictable, as much as I tried to help her, it was just too draining and too hard. Part of me wishes I could have done something more for her. Then again, she was so out of control...but that's another story for another time.

Dina knows part of the reason I'm no longer friends with this person. Dina and I were living together when the situation with my friend was at its worst.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09251507898309184477noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-22578035.post-36228380298531663942007-02-07T16:29:00.000-05:002007-02-07T16:29:00.000-05:00Dina you were no-where near the way she was on you...Dina you were no-where near the way she was on your wedding day, and you were not over-reacting to the heater situation at all. It was freezing (before the ceremony, by then it was fine). Of course, I had a melt-down at your wedding because Adam didn't show up and had no cell phone, and I was sure he was in a ditch somewhere...'nother story.

I could see someone freaking out like that, I guess. But really, it makes no sense. I don't know any bride that would leave a salon with hair that looks that awful, or that woudl go without a mother, or bridesmaid or whatever with her. Also, I am sure pretty well any bride would have at least tried or let her bridesmaids try to fix the hair before starting to chop it off. The freaking out I can totally see. Chopping it off? No way!!zozosmammahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00470549230647158693noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-22578035.post-3007890000550257212007-02-07T13:12:00.000-05:002007-02-07T13:12:00.000-05:00Yuka checked out the video and was shocked. I remember your wedding and just to let you know, it wasn't that cold in the hall :) Everything was perfect and the wedding was beautiful! You looked stunning!

One of my bridesmaids, Kelly (who has recently gotten engaged)told me not to worry about the little things. She said that I may know that each and every little detail wasn't as I had planned, but the guests didn't know that and everyone would think things went without a hitch. She was right. Everything went smoothly and beautifully. We got married in June and it was soooooo HOT in the hall. People were sweating, we couldn't get the AC working...LOL! I can look back now and laugh. Photos of guests with huge sweat marks and dripping faces now bring smiles to all of our faces. It was a great wedding and lots of fun. That's what people will remember.

But, yes...I agree with you. I can see how some brides can have melt downs and I too, felt sorry for the bride in the video (even if it wasn't real). Like I said, I don't usually spazz out, but I did have a melt down the day before my wedding :) As wonderful, memorable and perfect as that day was, I don't think I'd ever want to get married again! I totally thought it was real and I thought she wasn't THAT nuts...I felt so sorry for her and could imagine myself or others really reacting that way. I know how stressfull wedding days can be and I actually had a meltdown on my wedding day when the heater at the hall was broken and everyone was walking around in ski jackets, hats and gloves because it was the coldest day of the year. Luckily it was fixed before all the guests arrived...okay maybe my meltdown wasn't quite THAT bad but I really did think she was justified in being upset...oh well it was all a hoax in the end anyway ARGH!!BusyMammahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14268925608611113676noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-22578035.post-31781135047490230572007-02-07T12:14:00.000-05:002007-02-07T12:14:00.000-05:00Thanks, Pavel! :)Thanks, Pavel! :)Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09251507898309184477noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-22578035.post-54884244657057781822007-02-07T10:07:00.000-05:002007-02-07T10:07:00.000-05:00Oh, I am so glad to hear this is fake. In the meantime, can I live vicariously through your travel adventures and dating drama? I love it! It's so Sex and the City!! Which character would you be? I love that you are embracing your freedom and independence! I loved my single days too. So much fun! Even though I'm married, life's still exciting and full of surprises. There's never a dull moment, which surprised me since when I was single, I thought all that would end once marriage began. Quite the contrary though!

T: Once again, my plans for Toronto were foiled. Things are just so busy here. Now that I've got a student homestaying with us and attending the local high school, it's even harder to get away. I'm going to try to get your way in March since my SIL and brother are expecting their first child then (and my student will be on March break).

Anon and AHMM: Yes, good acting, eh? LOL! That was fake...One more comment before I go to bed! That was fake??? She sure looked convincing! LOL Well, even if it's fake I have a friend who's hairdresser messed up her hair. She had her hair done in loose curls but the curls sagged after a few hours (before the wedding) and it looked like she had just woken up and crawled out of bed. My friend went nutso on everyone: her mom, the bridesmaids and maid of honor. One of the girls ended up doing a makeshift updo on her and she looked beautiful but she was a total spastic lunatic before they rectified the situation.

I bet this is why most single girls are happy being single? Heh heh!

By the way, I've been checkign out all the cool blogs on your list and you've got osme pretty interesting people on there! And have you decided if you are coming to T.O. this month or what? Can you bring my bracelet I forgot over there at the wedding? I know it was almost a year ago but I think it may have left it at your parents house during the dinner the night before the wedding.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-22578035.post-80791014938993403122007-02-06T21:25:00.000-05:002007-02-06T21:25:00.000-05:00LOL! It did seem pretty 'over the top', but like I said, I have known a few brides who have totally flipped out before their weddings! Thanks for the link! What an interesting article!

PS. I flipped out the night before my wedding because I couldn't find my tiara and my veil! My mom hid it and forgot where it was...and we ended up yelling at each other. We found it (obviously), and all went without a hitch. Funny how you forget all the tears and drama that happened pre-wedding...and everything just falls into place. Had I known that earlier, I wouldn't have ever gotten stressed for nothing :)Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09251507898309184477noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-22578035.post-39738449177659866442007-02-06T21:20:00.000-05:002007-02-06T21:20:00.000-05:00It's fake. http://origin.www.cbc.ca/arts/media/sto...It's fake. http://origin.www.cbc.ca/arts/media/story/2007/02/04/bridezilla-campaign.html

Funny though!zozosmammahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00470549230647158693noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-22578035.post-19015366337377766572007-02-06T20:56:00.000-05:002007-02-06T20:56:00.000-05:00BAHHHHHH!
