Pink Out Loud with @TELUS
In the past few years, the lives of several of my friends have been forever changed because of breast cancer. What I once considered a cancer for women to worry about only when they were past middle-aged years is a reality for friends my age...and younger. I don't know why I never even thought women my age would be subject to breast cancer, but it is a reality.
I was really impressed when I read about TELUS and their Rethink Breast Cancer campaign. I think it's so important to connect younger women with breast cancer. It's so true how getting breast cancer in your younger years is far different an experience from being diagnosed later in life.
Again, there are things I never even thought about like being diagnosed during pregnancy, the effects of chemotherapy on fertility, etc. Thanks to TELUS Rethink Breast Cancer Campaign, women who need the support will be able to receive it.
In our family, we are no strangers to supporting causes that are near and dear to our hearts. Showing support and helping in any way we can is the least we can do. We really appreciate the love and support we receive for various causes. It's only right to give back.

City girl moves to the country, falls in love, and marries a farmer. She tries to incorporate her city ways with her new country lifestyle and blogs to keep in touch with friends, family & students who live far, far away :) Can this city girl go country? Watch as she learns all sorts of exciting things about life on the farm and in a small rural community. *UPDATE* We are now parents! Our baby girl was born on Nov. 11, 2008 (at 28 weeks gestation- 12 weeks premature, but she's quite the trooper)!!!

Love Telus, a great network that's for sure.
I love that Telus is bringing more awareness to this! It's SO true that we tend to relate breast cancer to a certain age and not the younger generation. It can happen to anyone...at any age! It's important to always be aware and informed :)

I agree! I've been with them for 12 years and haven't looked back since! :)

I love Telus and their initiatives. They're always working hard to better the community and raise awareness. Other large size companies should take notice!
Fantastic how Telus has joined the Think Pink initiative.
Thanks for making me aware of TELUS and their Rethink Breast Cancer campaign.
Great cause. WTG, Telus!
