VH Excite Your Dinner Blog Tour + Giveaway! #VHExcitement
I love creating delicious and healthy meals for my family from scratch, but sometimes time is short and a little bit insane and I need a little extra help in the kitchen from my friends at VH.
My family has been spoiled with international fare. I love cooking. I love traveling. I love cooking food from my cultural background. My not even four year old daughter is a huge fan of all cuisines from Thai, Japanese, Korean, Filipino, Chinese, Greek, Caribbean, Lebanese, Vietnamese... You name it, she'll likely eat it!
Since my family has grown accustomed to bursts of flavour and different spices and seasonings, I've had to keep up with this type of cooking. Like I mentioned earlier, if I need some help, there's always VH Sauces! A little VH infuses any dish with flavour and makes any dinner exciting.
I was given the following package to create some delicious dishes in my kitchen!
A friend was talking about making pork chops and how she just bakes them. She said her in-laws commented on how hers were unappealing and grey-looking. The secret is in the sauce, my friends. Well, the secret is also in the way you cook your meat. You can't just always bake everything and not add flavour to it. Searing also helps lock in flavour and gives a nice colour to your meat.
I told her about VH. Now she doesn't get the "your food looks grey" feedback from the in-laws.
The other night, I made garlic pork chops with the VH Medium Rib Garlic Cooking Sauce, various salads, and I used the VH Thai Market Sweet Thai Chili Dipping Sauce on the Korean Sweet Potato Noodles I made. Hubby and Little One couldn't wait to dig into their supper!
Little One requested left-overs for her school lunch the next day. I'm telling you, she's more of a meat, veggies, noodles or rice kid than a sandwich kid. She'll eat sandwiches as long as they've got MEAT and veggies in them.
Hubby and Little One love the Medium Garlic Rib Sauce. I think if I put that on anything, they'd eat it! As for me, I am a huge fan of the VH Thai Market Sweet Thai Chili Dipping Sauce. I've made my own Thai Sweet Chili sauce before, but I love the convenience of this sauce. It's the perfect marriage of flavours. Sweet, tangy, and just a hint of spice. I love making fresh spring rolls and dipping them in this sauce!
Disclosure – I am participating in the VH Excite Your Dinner blog tour by enCompass Media on behalf of Con Agra Foods. I received compensation as a thank you for participating and for sharing my honest opinion.

City girl moves to the country, falls in love, and marries a farmer. She tries to incorporate her city ways with her new country lifestyle and blogs to keep in touch with friends, family & students who live far, far away :) Can this city girl go country? Watch as she learns all sorts of exciting things about life on the farm and in a small rural community. *UPDATE* We are now parents! Our baby girl was born on Nov. 11, 2008 (at 28 weeks gestation- 12 weeks premature, but she's quite the trooper)!!!
