Why I'm Excited to be a #KinderMom @KinderCanada

KINDER® Surprise has always been a part of my life.  As a child, my brothers and I used to get Kinder eggs as a treat every once in a while.  I remember collecting Smurfs and other little toys that we had to assemble! Of course, we loved the chocolate, but the fun and excitement was in what kind of surprise would be awaiting us in that little egg!

Now that I have a little one of my own, Kinder has saved me on numerous occasions. No, I don't make it a habit bribe my child with sweets, but I  have to tell you that Kinder Surprise is excellent for potty training incentives! If you use a sticker chart, at the end of the week if your child gets x number of stickers, the prize can be a Kinder egg!

When I found out I was selected as a #KinderMom, I was over the moon! I don't know who was more excited - my 3 year old (almost 4 now) or me?!

I asked Little One how she wanted to share her Kinder Surprise treats and she gave me two options:
  1. "Share dem wid my classmates for Halloween."
  2. "Give dem to my friends at my BIRTHDAY PARTY!!!!"
Initially, we were going to rent the swimming pool and party room for her 4th birthday and invite her entire class AND all her friends. Hubby then decided we would cancel that and take her to Toronto for the Royal Winter Fair instead.  As a farming family, we do not get to have many "family vacations" and it has taken its toll on all of us. This "get away" is much needed.  It looks like her classmates will be getting Kinder Surprise treats for Halloween!

I was really impressed that Little One said she wanted to share all of her goodies. When I was her age, I probably would have said that I didn't want to share any of it!

Just recently, Kinder Canada gave away 10,000 Kinder Surprise eggs on their Facebook page in celebration of their 2013 Toy Collection launch! Visit Kinder Canada and connect with them on Facebook and Twitter

My little girl's favourites so far are the Softy Tummy, Madagascar 3, Animal Splash, and Emoty Monkeys toys!

Hey can you send me some? Wait, that would be ILLEGAL!

omg, remember when you convinced me to get those eggs at Walmart?

I'm glad that I wasn't searched at the airport!!!

my friends loved the eggs....thanks for letting me know about them!

Pix Pattiserie in Portland, OR made their own version of the Kinder Egg during our spring visit. they had tiny macaron replicas within the egg.

Congrats on the #KinderMom status. Very cool and lucky generous LO too!

One of these days I will get my hands on some of those. Figure I'll wait until both kids are old enough before I risk breaking the law for candy/toy/simple childhood joy.

so excited you will all get to go on a family vacation!
