Strawberry-licious! #WordlessWednesday w/ Linky
This Summer, our strawberries have been growing like crazy!
It's Summertime! These beauties are Strawberry-licious!
This said, I've exhausted all my recipes that call for strawberries. Strawberry jams, pies, cakes, smoothies, ice cream...all done over and over. Have you got any interesting and unique recipes that call for strawberries?
Link up your Wordless Wednesday posts here! We'd love to check them out!

What Little Girls Are Made Of ~ Not So #WordlessWednesday w/ Linky
Little One is a veritable girlie girl. She loves all things blingy, sparkly and pink. She goes to the barn to feed the bull in her puffy tutu and rubber boots.
If you recall, I boycotted pink when Little One was born because I didn't want her to be under the whole notion that girls are all about princess, frilly things, and pink.
Despite my protests and not introducing her to all that is girlie, she somehow embraced all of those things anyway. She loves Disney princesses, fairies, ballerinas, and PINK!
She also loves digging in the dirt and playing with snails and whatever other bugs she finds in the garden.
Little girls and little boys can do anything and everything they want to do when it comes to establishing their preferences in toys, activities or sports. I think it's great for boys to play house and play with dolls, just like I think it's fabulous for girls to play with dirt or play with toy tools. I think it's wonderful for boys to do ballet and girls to play hockey.
What do you think?

Eat Locally ~ #WordlessWednesday with Linky
Have you ever stopped to really look at an egg before? They're so perfect and so beautiful. Each one is so unique.
We get our eggs from Hubby's sister, who as chickens. We also get eggs from Blue Jay Creek Art Farm. For the most part, we try to grow what we can and eat and buy locally as much as we can.

#WordlessWednesday w/ Linky: #MonthOfMom in Review
I took part in (and completed) the #PGMom #MonthOfMom Photo Challenge. Here are some of our photos for the month.
May started off as a "typical" month on the farm, but ended with Little One being airlifted to the hospital. What a wild and crazy month it has been!

#WordlessWednesday ~ Smoked Salmon w/ Linky
This is what Little One does when she sleeps over at her grandparents' house. In this pic, she's basting freshly caught fish with maple syrup!
Grampy is an avid fisherman and catches fish from the freshwater lakes and brings them home for supper. We got Grampy a smoker for his birthday. He and Little One have been having lots of fun with it!

#WordlessWednesday Slimy Sally w/ Linky
Look what we found on the farm! I'm guessing (and hoping) the arrival of Slimy Sally the Salamander is a sign that Spring is actually here to stay?
I also learned that she (or he?) is not really slimy, but his/her skin secretes mucus to keep her/him moist when on land and maintain salt balance when in water. Hubs also told me that they secrete poison from their glands in their skin.
I need to keep on top of all these facts since we have a four year old who asks a lot of questions about everything!

I have to admit, I was a little starstruck! Here I am with one of my food blogging idols,

Look closely at my toothbrush.

Someone got into the lotion and smeared it all over the entire bathroom.

#WordlessWednesday ~ Am I Crazy???
Clearly, I must be crazy.
What possessed me to buy a new bed set that is as WHITE as snow? I have no idea except for the fact that I love the fresh crispness of white.
Wonder how long this will last. I'm married to a farmer and have a four year old child...
Hubby keeps taking all the decorative pillows off! He keeps saying, "WHY do you need SO many pilliows?!"
I don't know.
They're pretty?
Link up your Wordless Wednesday posts! We'd love to pop by and check them out! Okay, so maybe this one wasn't so "Wordless"!

#WordlessWednesday ~ Kid's Lunch
Little One's school doesn't have a lunch break, but two nutritional breaks. The upper part of her bento box has a Vietnamese style salad on rice vermicelli and the lower part of her bento has grapes, sliced pear, sliced orange, and a muffin. She also had a yogourt and a Thermos filled with water to accompany her lunch.
What do your kids like to eat for their school lunches?
Feel free to link up your Wordless Wednesday posts! Ha! Mine's not so "wordless" this week!

#WordlessWednesday ~ Canadian Winters! Brrr!
School bag. Check. Snowsuit, hat, and mitts. Check, check, and check. Sled. Check. Sled dog. Check. ;) Just kidding. He doesn't pull the sled. He just comes along for the trek.
Just another Winter day in Canada. Okay, in the rural North!

#WordlessWednesday ~ Why We Love Teachers
Perhaps this isn't such a "wordless" Wednesday kind of post, but this video was shared by +Natalie Rea on Twitter last night, and I just had to share it.
1. I'm a West Island girl and can't resist sharing posts related to people or things from my old 'hood.
2. I think we need to remember all the many reasons why teachers are so important in our children's lives.
WARNING: Break out the Kleenex! You'll need it!
