@TELUS' What Would You Give Campaign‏

One of the messages my husband and I are trying to convey to our four year old daughter is that it is better to give than to receive.  We want her to know that it feels good to give to others. Whether it be in the form of organizing a fundraiser, making a donation, performing some random act of kindness, giving to others feels good and makes others feel good as well.

TELUS also believes in giving and they want to make sure that the feeling is alive and strong this Holiday season.

TELUS asked people on their Facebook page "If you could give anything to anyone, what would it be?" The responses were overwhelming. TELUS was amazed by the generosity of their online social community. They took their fans' words to heart and realized they could make some of those wishes come true.

With all the touching and amazing fan stories, I'm sure the decision was a difficult one to make. To capture the power of giving this Holiday season, TELUS shares some of their fans' thoughtful, heartwarming stories:

Check out the videos of Chelsea Schmelzel, from Prince George, BC and some of our other wish recipients at http://telusgiving.com

Be prepared to cry! Have those tissues close-by! This video had me sobbing!

Thought I'd share this with you. Happy Holidays!

Yet another reason we love TELUS.

Oh my...this is soooo wonderful!! I love how giving Telus is! I've always enjoyed giving rather than receiving...it's SUCH an awesome feeling seeing someone light up when they receive it.

I know, right? Seeing people's faces light up when you do something kind or give them something special is gift enough for me :)

Stories like this warm my heart. Like you we are trying to also teach our daughters about giving...I tear up so much when they talk about how it feel good in their heart when they give to others. (Telus is amazing...they read a post where my 4 year old wanted her tooth fairy money to only come in pennies so she could give it to the Feed the children campaign so a child could have clean water for their whole life, and Telus loved her selflessness so much they they sent her gifts for her and gifts to share with some friends...they are the best!)
