Absolute Perfection

It's been a while since I've posted on a regular basis. I can't believe it's been over two weeks since I had last checked my e-mail, Facebook or the blog! Hubby and I returned from the Dominican Republic last Tuesday, and the next morning I was on the road to K-town for my little nephew's 1st birthday. I didn't even have time to unpack my suitcase!

It's hard to believe that this time last year, a perfect little angel came into this world. I am constantly shocked at how quickly time passes.

Here's a photo of the cutest little Habs fan!
Tiny hands! My hands look so old and wrinkly next to his soft little baby hands!
Sunshine in the morning while we play with his toys.
Looking up at his Auntie C while he has his milk after breakfast. The boy loves his Cheerios!
He's absolutely perfect! His eyes are so round and big! Check out how long his eyelashes are! Women pay lots of money on mascara and falsies to get eyelashes that long!

Kenny and Auntie C.
Kenny and Auntie C without her make-up! It was too early in the morning!

Grumpy Gramps giving Kenny the wrong bottle!
Here's the story:
My brother/Middle Bro/Kenny's Dad had all the alcohol for the grownups displayed on the table and Kenny kept pointing to the bottle of Jack Daniel's! Dad thought he'd be funny and pretended to give Kenny the bottle. The funny thing is that my Dad doesn't even drink alcohol!! The photo looks bad, but the cap is actually tightly screwed on. Boy! Kenny was really trying hard to drink from the bottle though! Dad wouldn't actually advocate giving a 12 month old whiskey! Later on that day, Kenny tried to drink his Nana's red wine. When that didn't work, he went for my uncle's beer bottle! Hmmm...I think my brother and my SIL are going to have their hands full when Kenny's a teenager! ;)

Kenny and his beautiful mom!
A birthday cake for ME? Check out his facial expression! So cute!
Kenny and his mommy. The tricycle was Baby Bro's. It's over 20 years old!
A tractor with lots of buttons (that all make noise)! Uncle J would love this toy!
My parents and their grandson on his 1st birthday (and their 34th wedding anniversary)!

He's SCRUMPTIOUS! What a beautiful family you have. I wish I looked as good as you do without makeup, too. ;) Guess I'm getting old...

I'm sitting here saying "Auntie C" out loud to myself in an english accent. That sounds so cool.

So, your Mom & Dad have the same exact anniversary date as little Kenny's burfday? That's amazing.

I like the trike!

He is indeed scrumptious, isn't he? :) I miss him already! I wish my brother and his wife didn't live 8 hours away by car!

Funny you mentioned the make-up thing! My mom just told me the other day that she hopes I never let anyone see me without make-up because it looks like I've been hit by a truck! LOL! *sigh*

Jimmy! I missed you!!! LOL! Yes, Kenny was born on my mom and dad's 33rd anniversary. Neat, eh? My mom made a bet that he'd be born on their wedding anniversary. She had a feeling. It's funny because Kenny was a few days late and ended up being born on the exact date of their anniversary. I guess now we'll never be able to forget March 16th! LOL!

The trike is cool, isn't it? I told Kenny, "Dude! Your trike is vintage!" LOL! He didn't seem to care that his "new" BMX is actually over 20 years old and belonged to his uncle (Baby Bro). Kenny just loved that it had wheels!!!

Your nephew is adorable! Such beautiful eyes!

Can I tell you how much I want a little asian baby?
Sadly I don't think I have enough of my dad's blood in me.

I think you're lucky that they are AS CLOSE as an 8 hour car ride. I mean, that's a totally doable weekend trip!

Thank you for putting things into perspective :) I suppose you're right about 8 hours not being that far!

C.) Your nephew is ADORABLE!

My dad is a total joker. You have to be careful with him sometimes. He loves to play tricks on people and we almost never know when he's being serious or not! LOL! He's especially bad with new people. He's a total prankster! LOL!

You are so sweet! :)

Awwwwww - he's so cute! It's good to take breaks... I'm still trying to pull off staying away from my computer for 3 days... of course it hasn't happened yet.

Thank you! Still missing the Dominican Republic, but I guess I'm glad to be back home! LOL! I will write you an e-mail of more substance when I get a free moment :) Hope all is going well where you are! xoxo

Delicious is a great adjective to describe him! Those cheeks are so cute!! I just love, love, love that little guy. I'm just so fascinated by everything he does. The way he looks at things, the way he tries to figure out how to do something...it's amazing! So cute!

Thank you! How are you? I'm on my way over to your blog now! :)

I know! It's crazy how a year has passed already! So much can happen in such a short time. It's unbelievable.

Thank you for your kind words :) However, I do look rather sickly without make-up! LOL!

Yeah, it's been really weird. I haven't had time to post on a regular basis these days. Not that I don't want to, but I just never seem to have enough time anymore :( A while ago, I stopped posting regularly because I was uninspired. Now, I'm not posting every day because I haven't been able to spend much time on the computer! I've got a lot going on at the moment. I might e-mail you later on ;) xoxo

Thank you :) So true though! ;) Kenny is fortunate to be born into such a big and tightly knit family! Big families have their pros and cons. Being in a big family, everyone thinks their entitled to say whatever they feel or give unsolicited advice. At the same time, there's so much love, laughs, fun...and you know no matter what, your family's got your back :) I love that I have the family I have. Kenny is fortunate to be born into a family like ours and at the same time, we are so blessed that he has entered our lives. EVERYONE in our family is absolutely in love with that little guy!!! Family from Toronto, Montreal, the Island and elsewhere drove all the way to Kingston for the little guy's 1st birthday.

He is sweet, isn't he? I love that photo too! His smile just melts my heart. Every time I see him, it makes me want to start a family of my own ASAP!!!!

Welcome back, Chrissy!
Though I believe I am allergic to children, I must admit that your nephew is very cute. The photo of him looking at his birthday cake speaks volumes.
