It's Not Nice To Laugh At Others
...Unless they do things like this!!!
I'd like to teach my child that it is never okay to make fun of others or laugh at their expense. Even when they do things like this...Some people make it so difficult to NOT laugh though! I mean, seriously??
Okay, the last photo isn't funny. I don't know what would possess a parent to put their child to nap in a cart and then load it up with big boxes on top. I wonder if it didn't occur to the parents that the boxes may just fall on top of their child? Anyway...
A friend sent me this link for People of Walmart. You will find all kinds of craziness if you to the site. Okay, I have to admit that some of the images are pretty funny. Have you ever seen any weird get ups or people doing odd thingswhen you've been to Walmart? I know I have seen some pretty crazy things before, but I would never take a photo of the people sporting camel toe pants or Halloween costumes in July.
*Just to let you know, I'm not being holier than thou. I actually did laugh at some of the photos and I actually do think some of the people in the photos are a little kooky! As much as I would like to tell Little One that she must never make fun of people or laugh at them, it sure is hard when people do some pretty crazy things sometimes!!! ;) *

About the Blog Author
City girl moves to the country, falls in love, and marries a farmer. She tries to incorporate her city ways with her new country lifestyle and blogs to keep in touch with friends, family & students who live far, far away :) Can this city girl go country? Watch as she learns all sorts of exciting things about life on the farm and in a small rural community. *UPDATE* We are now parents! Our baby girl was born on Nov. 11, 2008 (at 28 weeks gestation- 12 weeks premature, but she's quite the trooper)!!!

My brother was talking about this website the other day. He said the scary thing is a quote he read about the Dollar Store...said something like, "I like to go to the Dollar Store when I don't want to get dressed up, like when I go to WalMart." ACK!
Did I put this in a comment already? I feel like I'm repeating myself.
J:
Wow! I didn't see that quote! Pretty crazy stuff! I was reading some of the quotes and some of the quotes were so rude...and some I couldn't stop laughing at!
I feel like a bad Mom sometimes. I know it's not nice to laugh at others, but some of the things on that website had me in tears. What's even worse is that these are real people and not people acting or purposefully posing for the pics!
Oh hunny, sometimes you have to laugh at people. Don't hold it back.
You've inspired a blog post. I will trackback to you. Stay tuned. :)

hi c - i've heard of this website but never checked it out. seems really white trashy. i can see that anytime here. except with more diversity (black, brown, asians). no need to look at a website! ha ha. but seriously.
okay i feel kind of bad because i posted a picture in one of my recent blogs of a man crossing the street (his face is whited out) - my GBF and I noticed his man purse.

and yes you're right -it's not nice to teach our kids to make fun of others or laugh...that means I have to really STFU then!
There are times when I would just like to follow people home and give them money for a full length mirror.
Humps:
Oh, can't wait!!! :)

Actually, I was being a teensy weensy bit sarcastic. As awful as it sounds, I really do laugh when I see stuff like that. ;)

HAHAHA!!! Thank you for making my day (errr...night)! That was too funny! :)
hi c - okay good! because i totally do that even when i'm in church. well, in my mind! ha ha! sometimes i think to myself, WTF were they thinking when they stepped out of the house?
i totally have to bite my tongue like all the time now. got to set a good example for the child now! ha ha.
get me, my bro and sis together and we will not talking $#!^!!!!

I think I just threw up a little in my mouth. People are NUTS. I guess if your nuts you shop at Walmart. ha I will admit, I'm not a fan...BUT there is a pretty decentSuper Walmart out in the country where I live and so far, it hasn't scared me off yet.
some of them are too funny! i definitely laughed at them !!
As for the last photo- i think it is a set up. I really want to belive that those boxes are empty and they knew the person taking the pic!
i have seen some pretty funny attire working in Scarborough and all :) I have actually tried taking pics with my camera phone to post on the blog but they didn't come out!!
