A Heartfelt Thanks to all of You! #Preemie #NICU

Many of you have asked how our fundraiser/benefit concert for Mount Sinai Hospital's Perinatal Parents Association went last weekend. We want to give a BIG thank you to everyone who came out and supported  our cause and to those who supported us from afar.  It truly means a lot to us to be able to "give back" to Mount Sinai after having a preemie in the NICU. We are so thankful to be able to contribute to something so important and near and dear to our hearts. Making sure we can help other parents with babies in the NICU is so very important to us...especially during the Holiday season.

We have raised $1,435 and it is all going to the Perinatal Parents Association at Mount Sinai!
Special thanks to the following businesses for their generous donations:
  • KIOKKO Bebe Couture
  • sammyg*s.com
  • Oliver's Labels
  • Almond Fresh & So Good
  • Nack's A Little Bit of Everything
  • Gordon's Park Eco-Resort
  • Sew Cool
  • Peter Baumgarten (Original Art Work)
  • Manitoulin Midwifery
  • Joni Roy (Mary Kay)
A very special thank you goes out to:
  • Great local band, Rural Roots (for providing amazing musical entertainment for the evening)
  • Our community
  • My friend, Valerie O'Leary (without her, this event would not have been possible)
  • My husband (for putting up with me and for being so good when put on serving/kitchen duty and clean up)
  • Robert Maxwell of Digital Peasant Media (for capturing this special event on video to share with Mount Sinai, the NICU, parents with babies in the NICU, and readers of this blog)
  • Little One's babysitter (for doing door duty)

We are very excited to present Mount Sinai's Perinatal Parents Association with the $1,435 cheque! What a great way to help other NICU parents and raise awareness for November's Preemie Awareness Month too!

Thank you so much! I wish we could do more, but living 6 hrs away, this seemed the best thing we could do. I certainly have to thank my BFF for helping me. She is so awesome.
