Honeymoon Hot Spots!!
J and I are still thinking about our honeymoon destination. We're getting married in June, but unfortunately, we run our own businesses so we can't get away until the off-season in Oct. or Nov. We're really crazy busy on the island in the summer months. We're thinking Caribbean cruise or something like that. I've been to 11 countries (all over Asia, Indonesia, the Caribbean and North America) but have never been on a full-on cruise. John's only travelled around Canada and the U.S. so he said a cruise would be nice.
Got any ideas or advice on great honeymoon places??? Where did you go on yours? Is Oct/Nov typhoon season??

City girl moves to the country, falls in love, and marries a farmer. She tries to incorporate her city ways with her new country lifestyle and blogs to keep in touch with friends, family & students who live far, far away :) Can this city girl go country? Watch as she learns all sorts of exciting things about life on the farm and in a small rural community. *UPDATE* We are now parents! Our baby girl was born on Nov. 11, 2008 (at 28 weeks gestation- 12 weeks premature, but she's quite the trooper)!!!

Sandals Resort in Jamaica was phenomenal. We enjoyed it.
I think that it is hurricane season... Why not try a cruise in the Southern Hemisphere where it'll be spring turning to summer instead of fall turning to winter?
Good idea! Got any suggestions of places?
Where did you and E go?
We went on a south caribbean cruise. It was really amazing...but if it is hurrican season you may want to skip it...or go later in the year???
Well at that time of year I would want to go somewhere warm. A cruise does sound nice, but I haven't left Canada or the US either...in 4 days I will be going on my first trip to St. Maarten. I'll tell you how it goes! We went to the Bear Trail Resort in Algonquin Park for our honeymoon. It was AWESOME, but in Oct/Nov it won't be as warm. :) Lele
we loved Margarita Island. Our resort had everything we could have wanted and was somewhat reasonable although i'm sure had it not been over the x-mas holiday it would have been way more reasonable...and Chris you can practice your Spanish :)
Dina, would you be able to e-mail me more info on Margarita Island? Like where did you and Gav stay? What travel company did you book with? Package deals? Etc...
Sounds like a great place!
We went to Disney World!! Had a blast and the hotel room was gorgeous. The festival of lights was nice too.
We went on a cruise and WE loved it! We still talk about it and I dream on going on another one.... sigh..... We went to the Caribbean: Jamaica, Grand Caymand and Cozumel on Carnival. I hear RC and Princess are awesome! I think Hurricane season ends Nov 1 - if you can hold out until then! Pat (High School!)
