9 Months Already

Dearest Little One,

I cannot believe you are nine months old today. NINE MONTHS!!! This means you'll be a year old in just three short months! I don't know whether to be excited or sad!

Time just seems to keep flying by. I know I sometimes often say how tiredexhausted I am and I sometimes often feel like I have zero down time or time of my own now. The truth is, I really do feel blessed, fortunate, and lucky to have you and to be able to spend so much time with you.

You arrived into our lives very early, so that gave me even more time to devote to you. Even when I say I need a break sometimes (because all Mommies and Daddies need a little break every now and then), I don't want to spend any time apart from you. It's the oddest feeling ever. Perhaps because you spent your first two months in the NICU, I feel like I need to spend all my time with you. I don't ever want to be away from you. That may change when you get older (haha!).

You look like such a big girl now. I enjoy our walks together. The look on your face is precious as you take in all the new sights, sounds, and scents. I love the look of wonder when you discover new things.
When I see you with your monthly photos with Moo, I can't help but see just how much you've grown! From February, when you were only 3 months old (a newborn if we consider your corrected age), you have grown so much! For a baby born at 2 lbs, 3 oz, you are now just under 14 lbs!
You're rolling, moving yourself around in a "not-quite-a-crawl" crawl, babbling, eating cereal and veggies, playing with your toys, and doing so many new things that continue to amaze your Daddy and me.
You are a very happy, smiley, funny, bright little girl. I hope Daddy and I can be the parents you need us to be. We may still be learning, but you have been so very patient and accommodating so far! You are the most precious gift and we are so very lucky to have you.

Mom xoxo

She's so cute!!! I know about the feeling where you are totally exhausted and feel like you need a break, but then you just can't stand to be away for more than 20 minutes. It's such an odd feeling. Little One is so cute, she's growing up way too fast. It feels like just yesterday you were writing about your travels back and forth to the NICU. I'm glad that everything worked out and she's doing great.

Happy 9 months LO!!!

C, this is a beautiful letter. Isn't amazing how much they grow and change in the first year. I'll probably say that about every year though.
