I know this is a crazy question, but....

does anyone out there who has cats know of a brand of cat litter that will make that funky kitty smell go away (or at least not seem so baaaaaad)???? I love our newly acquired feline babies, but man oh man, do they ever stink! Well, THEY don't stink...they don't smell at all, but their litter box is totally raunchy!! I use a scoopable clumping litter and I clean their litter box every day.

Sorry for the weird post, but I need some help here! Anyone??? If you don't know of any particular brand of litter that will not have that yucky, stinky smell, what do you do to make the kitty litter and surrounding region not smell so badly? Hubby has some green apple scented Lysol anti-bacterial stuff to spray in the laundry room where the litter boxes are, but now whenever I smell green apples, it reminds me of cat litter!!

Aaaaaaaaaaaargh!!

I think my mom uses the multi cat litter. It's the clumping kind. She has 3 cats and 2 litter boxes.

Only 40 min from Little Current! Can I ask where? How awesome is that. I love the Island and am honoured to be part of your blogroll!

Good luck with the felines

Why doesn't your husband just use the toilet like the rest of us?

Barb, less than 10 mins from the ferry terminal.

I got another litter box so the kitties won't disturb our other cat. I noticed she didn't want to use it when she saw that the two little ones were using hers, so I got them their own. They're such smart little guys- I just showed them the box once and they knew what to do. So cute.

The multi cat kind? I'll look into that! Thanks :)

Stephen: I haven't got hubby trained yet :) He's not as swift as the kittens! j/k

we used the crystals with the little blue beads in it and it worked really well for getting rid of the smell but sometimes the beads get tracked all over the house, also you have to make sure to change the whole litter once a week.

Thanks Dina! I've heard of the crystals with the blue beads before. What's the name of that brand? Oh, and do Owen and Jamie use the same litter box or do you have one for each?
