Creepy!

This isn't a holiday post or a Throwback Thursday post. I haven't gotten around to scanning old photos from my mom's house yet. She's got all of the family photo albums and our scanner's not working. I'll get my act together one of these days. I just wanted to tell you about something truly bizarre that happened to me recently. It is really creepy!

The weirdest thing happened to me the other night. It was pretty late and I fell asleep in Hubby's La-Z-Boy while watching Casino Royale.
Hubby was already fast asleep in our bedroom. The kittens were curled up on my lap, keeping me warm and I had dozed off. All of a sudden, I was awakened by the most frightening sound ever! I just heard this strange whisper, "Chrissy...." in my ear! I opened my eyes and saw no one. The kittens were still sleeping and the TV was still on. A sudden wave of fright washed over me. I got really cold and had goosebumps! I shut the TV off, turned out the lights and ran upstairs to bed. I woke Hubby up to tell him what happened, but at 2AM, he didn't seem too interested! I've never been so scared in my life!

It was the strangest thing ever. It was this really odd whisper...and not too many people call me Chrissy! My mom, one of my aunts and a friend of mine call me that, but no one else. So weird! I wonder what that's all about. Creepy!

Has anything like that every happened to you?

My Japanese students tell me that when you hear someone whisper your name like that, it is a ghost talking to you.

I know! It really scared me! I bolted upstairs! LOL!

Pete:
My students from Korea and Japan have told me that too!

Dina:
I surely hope it was a dream! LOL! It probably was. It's so freaky how the mind can play such tricks! Creepy!

To answer your question, "Thank God NO!"

How frightening!

At least you didn't hear "Get outt!" (Amytiville Horror)

OMG! Now that you mentioned that, I don't think I'll be able to sleep tonight! LOL!

No, seriously. I don't think I'll be able to sleep tonight! I'm letting Chance sleep by the foot of the bed tonight! He usually sleeps in his dog house outside because he loves the cold. I let him in whenever he wants though, but he prefers to sleep outside.

I did walk into the kitchen to see my friend talking back to her cat once. And she is one of those no nonsense type people. I think I heard him say something to her first, like "I'm hungry, you." Or maybe it was "I'm hungry, mew."

That might have been the ghost of Christmas past?LOL

The only time I can remember anything like that happening to me.....I was about 5 or six years old. We lived next to an old abandoned cabin.
I remember being awoken out of deep sleep hearing my name being called over and over! It felt like it was comming from the cabin next door.
I was terrified, and froze stiff! I didn't even dare get out of bed to tell my parents!

Of course it might have been something from the day before when I tagged along with several of the older kids and we explored the old cabin, and found an old rusty butcher knife. The older kids told stories of a murder that was runored to have taken place there long long ago!
