AWKWARD

...watching True Blood with Hubby's family from out of town. Now, that is awkward!

The entire family (with the exception of Little One, who was already asleep in bed) watched the steamy vampire love scenes (ummm...okay, perhaps "love scenes" is downplaying things a bit. It was pretty hardcore!). Everyone was old enough to watch the HBO show, but it didn't change the fact that it was a bit embarrassing sitting there with Hubby's aunt, uncle, cousins, and his cousin's girlfriend.

The scene with Eric and Talbot...Need I say more!?!

hi c - ha ha! omg, i would have been mortified if i had to watch true blood with my parents or mother in law!!!

i gotta say though, nekkid eric (even with a man) is hot!!! tall blond and fkhawt!!!!

did you get freaked out by franklin's appearance in tara's dream?

now if you follow the books, then you know that sookie and alcide will be getting DOWN really soon! not soon enough! did you see alcide's body? kicks @$$ on bill's!

Nooooooooooooo! Say it ain't so! I know Alcide is hotter than Bill, but for some reason, I want Sookie and Bill to end up together! It's true love!

Although, when she was in the hospital bed and had that dream with all the people in the light and when Bill was coming it turned dark...that was freaky! Then Eric saying not to trust Bill...Hmmmmm!

Franklin really freaks me out! I'm guessing we haven't seen the end of him??? Yes, that was a freaky scene in the shower dream! Poor Tara!

I haven't read the books, but I'm thinking I need to buy them...NOW!!! :)

P.S. It was so much fun watching True Blood with you when you were here!

More than once in this house have we watched something on TV with family members that just made at least someone in the room a little weirded out.

40 Year Old Virgin with my brother (we're more cool and grown up now)

ANY stand up comedian with my MIL. I had no issues with it but I was actually surprised hubby did. He'd wiggle there for a while and then have to change the channel when it got to be too much.

Funny enough the word verification fits in nicely to this topic but I'm actually too embarrassed to tell you what it is. Tee Hee.

Cherry:
Awww! Now you're making me curious to find out what the word verification was!! LOL!

Ummm...How is THIS for embarrassing? When I was in high school, I rented "Basic Instinct" and my Chinese Grandma was watching it with me!!!

Oh.
My.
Gosh.

Poor Grandma! She never said anything, but I can imagine it was as embarrassing for her as it was for me!

Cherry:
Actually, I think it may have been "Sea of Love" and not the Sharon Stone one. Still embarrassing though.

Wow, you're brave. I was talking to someone about "The Kids Are Allright", which I really, really liked, and would NOT want to see with Maya. They said they were surprised, because we seem pretty progressive on that front...I thought about it, and maybe in a few years it would be OK for her to see it. But NOT WITH ME. Same for True Blood. Too awkward. :) I remember my mom being horrified by sitting through "Coal Miner's Daughter" with me when I was about 14. The tamest sex scene ever.

J:
HA! I know. My husband's uncle's kids are all teens, but it was still very awkward. I *did* have a disclaimer before True Blood came on. I stated that there was lots of violence, foul language, sex, nudity, and material not suitable for young audiences. They said it was okay, so...

Ummm...Little One will not be allowed to watch True Blood until she's 30!!! LOL! :)
