Spooky Rice Krispies Halloween Treats!

Halloween is one of my favourite times of the year.  I love decorating our house and getting all decked out in Halloween costume! The creepier the better! Halloween is not just for kids! I think I'm more excited about it than Little One is!

Another thing I love is creating kitchen concoctions with my daughter. When Kellogg's sent us this awesome Halloween kit, Little One decided she wanted to make "SCARY JACK O'LANTERNS"! I had a feeling that in true Little One fashion, she wouldn't deviate from the plan and there would be none of the other fun stuff I wanted to do (like scary snakes, bats, tombstones, or zombies)!

What kid doesn't love helping out in the kitchen? I've had to learn to 'let things go' a bit and not be so hung up on the mess an almost four year old can make. I've been getting better at letting her do things on her own and worrying about the clean up after.
This is what we came up with!

Definitely a fun way to spend a rainy, gloomy, cold, Fall afternoon!

Disclosure - As part of the Kelloggers Network, I received the Halloween Rice Krispies decorating kit. All the thoughts and opinions expressed on this blog are honest and my own.

Truth moment -- did you forget the vanilla? I always forget the vanilla! Looks like a blast was had. Love that this is a fun and simple thing to do with the kids.

:) It was so much fun! I need to really take a chill pill though. I HATE mess. I have an almost 4 year old, so I better loosen up a bit, eh? I especially hate when my kitchen's a mess! LOL!
