Strawberry-licious! #WordlessWednesday w/ Linky

This Summer, our strawberries have been growing like crazy!

It's Summertime! These beauties are Strawberry-licious!

This said, I've exhausted all my recipes that call for strawberries. Strawberry jams, pies, cakes, smoothies, ice cream...all done over and over. Have you got any interesting and unique recipes that call for strawberries?

Link up your Wordless Wednesday posts here! We'd love to check them out!

Last year our farm didn't have that many strawberries. This year, it's the opposite!!!

Awesome that you grow your own strawberries. I would freeze some whole and blend them up later to make smoothies.

I have a great freezable recipe for strawberry scones and another for strawberry rhubarb muffins, both of which freeze really well. I am jealous of your bumper crop! Lol

Throw 'em in a spinach salad with goat cheese and toasted almonds or pecans. YUM!

Yum! My favourite fruit! I'm missing them so much this year, as it seems our daughter has a strawberry allergy.

We wanted to go berry picking this year but our local farm didn't allow toddlers. Apparently they eat more than they pick?! :-P

Wow your berries look amazing!!

I puree my berries and freeze it in ice cube trays (then transfer to container/ziploc). Then I have berries for smoothies whenever I want! :D

Mmm.

Nothing is more refreshing on a hot Summer day than a strawberry smoothie!! Okay, maybe a strawberry lemonade!

Tasha
Wish you lived closer! I'd GIVE you some! I've got strawberries coming out of my ears! LOL!

Heather
I am going to scour your blog for some strawberry recipes! You always make me hungry when I visit your blog!

Kat
Are those recipes on your blog?? I would LOVE to try them out! Could you please send me the links or email them to me? LOL!

MTM
Mmmm! That's one of our favourite recipes!!

Brandi
Ahhhh! Strawberry allergies are not that uncommon, apparently. LO's school sent a letter home at the beginning of the year requesting parents not send fresh berries in their kids' lunches, as one of the kids was highly allergic to fresh berries!

Olivia
Haha! I totally see that happening, but to ban toddlers??? Boooo! LOL! My 4 yr old always does the "one for the bucket, two for the mouth" thing!

Lisa Marie
That is such a smart idea!!

MTM
Thank you! :) My kid is always covered in strawberry. She helps pick, but it's always "one for the bucket, two for the mouth"!!

Randa
They totally do!! :)

We use to have lots of strawberries until the neighbors trees got out of hand and we no longer have enough sun in the backyard to grow them. I did however buy a potted strawberry plant and my little one is loving that.

Carla:
Me too! Just got in from picking more strawberries! LOL!

Shayna:
Oh, sweet! I've always wanted to have potted strawberry plants on the patio!

I wish we could grow strawberries in our backyard. But at least we got to go strawberry picking in Hamilton last week!
