Sunday Special
Okay, I am seriously addicted to spending my afternoons at the beach! I know you must be sick of seeing photos of the beach, but here are some from today. I never imagined that there would be water this shade of turquoise and aqua right here in Canada. It's quite amazing, really.

She tries to incorporate her city ways with her new country lifestyle and blogs to keep in touch with friends, family & students who live far, far away :) Can this city girl go country? Watch as she learns all sorts of exciting things about life on the farm and in a small rural community. *UPDATE* We are now parents! Our baby girl was born on Nov. 11, 2008 (at 28 weeks gestation- 12 weeks premature, but she's quite the trooper)!!!

Awww :) I love the beach - very much. Am addicted to the beach.
You should see Boracay- seriously. And all the other beaches here in the Philippines- Pamglao, PAlawan, Davao, Cebu. Too many! :)
nothing wrong with an afternoon at the beach. If we lived closer we'd be there daily too!! Unfortunately we have to drive about 30 minutes to get to the beach from here :(
AND you can probably swim at yours- we definitely cannot!!
I commented on the two bottom pics on your Facebook page, but I'll say it again... you two are SOOOOOO CUUUUTTTEEE!!!!
And it really looks like the kiddies had a great time! So much fun! I never get tired of beach pictures!!
Lovely pics of the beach.
The beach is very dear to the heart of most NZers - apparently we have have the highest boat ownership per capita of any nation!
Great photos, chiquita! So blue and dreamy! And what doggy mama said! You two are adorable!
Mmmmm! The Sand dunes (aka Carters Bay) has always been my favorite escape. Its big and so vast that even when there are a lot of people, you still seem to have a sense of privacy. brrr..chilly, crystal clear water!! I miss it!
I gave you the schmooze award by the way. Check out my blog to read all about it :)
Louann:
Thank you soooo much for the award! I was really surprised! Thanks! You're the best! :) I've never been to Boracay. I was supposed to go when I was in the Philippines, but I chose to go to Puerto Galera TWICE instead! We made a lot of friends in PG so we decided to go back! Maybe one day I'll visit Cebu and Boracay! I've seen pics and everyone I know who went there just raves about those beaches!
Dina:
The beaches are really clean here. I was really surprised since I was used to Wasaga and all those other beaches "close" to the GTA. Though I loved going to Wasaga when I was younger, the last time I was there, I was a bit put off with all the crowds, the partying and the garbage. There was a beer can floating next to us when we were swimming and there was garbage on the beach. So sad, since people should take care of their beaches if they want to keep going to them in the future. We still had fun though!
I wish I had taken you to the beach when you were here! Elie would have had a ball!
DoggyMama:
Thank you! You are soooooo sweet! I did see your comments on my Facebook! LOL! Thank you! Is Biz strong enough for a road trip or will it be too much for him? The doggies, the beach....what can be better? :)
mrinz:
Oh, I would LOVE to one day visit NZ! Some of my friends from NZ have shown me photos and I have fallen in love with the lanscape. It's such a beautiful place!
MsMamma:
Awww shucks! :) You are so kind! I'd say "C'mon and bring Snowflake here!" but some of the pics you've taken from where you live look strikingly similar to where I live! I wonder...does Cheese Country look like Manitoulin? ;) LOL!
Chasing Daylight:
I forgot that you would know where these photos were taken! I just LOVE this beach! I love it more than the beach at Prov! I like the boardwalk at Providence Bay, but Carter Bay is sooooooooo serene and soooooo beautiful and secluded!
Are you going to be on the Island for the summer?
Aw, your hubby is so sweet! Aren't you glad you guys found each other?
Looks like you guys had a great time at the beach. Did you take Chance also?
Hi girl!
Yes, I am home on the weekends Thurs-Sun -- other than that I am in the Bay doing AQ courses. I'm lucky to split my time between two great places. I still wonder if I'll bump into you -- actually, can I add you to my facebook, that way I can add my 'face' to my name? ha ha..just a thought!
Yum, thanks for the pictures of Gardens Gate - - by far, still my favorite restaurant, another hidden treasure on the island. I haven't been able to eat there as of recent, but when I can, yum, I can't wait!!
Take care, Jo
Lotus:
Hi! We did take the pooch to the beach the other day! It was so funny! One of my students was on all fours, bent over, building a sand castle, and Chance had the urge to...well...ummmm...hump him! LOL! The poor kid was mortified! LOL! He didn't know what was going on, but Chance definitely mounted him and started doing the little doggy dance! We were all cracking up, and my little student, with his limited English skills kept saying that "Chance is a terrorist! Chance is a terrorist!" LOL! OMG...that was too funny! I had to explain what a "terrorist" was. It's so cute when students translate things directly from their language into English!
Jo:
Yes! Add me to your Facebook! I've been hoping to run into you on the Island sometime. There's a lot going on here on the weekends. Do you ever go to things like the pow wow or farmer's markets?
