Just a regular Saturday morning
To Do:
- laundry, 4 loads
-mop floors
- vacuum floors
-clean bathroom
-wash dishes
-dust
-clean office(Hubby's office, so I can't touch it..grrr)
-clean master bedroom
-clean kitchen
-do groceries
-clean student#1's room
-clean student#2's room *students cleaned their own rooms. Thank goodness!
-clean foyer
-clean car
All this done before lunch time.
Student #2 and I were chatting while cleaning the car (and student #1 was feeding the animals). I was kind of tired and a bit bummed that Student #1 has been behaving poorly. Student #2 innocently said, "Christine, I don't think my brother is malevolent. I think he's just simple." LOL!!! That totally made my day. I love that kid. He's so clever.

About the Blog Author
City girl moves to the country, falls in love, and marries a farmer. She tries to incorporate her city ways with her new country lifestyle and blogs to keep in touch with friends, family & students who live far, far away :) Can this city girl go country? Watch as she learns all sorts of exciting things about life on the farm and in a small rural community. *UPDATE* We are now parents! Our baby girl was born on Nov. 11, 2008 (at 28 weeks gestation- 12 weeks premature, but she's quite the trooper)!!!

wow- i'm impressed- my Saturday morning- drink coffee, give baby milk , drink more coffee, give baby cereal, drink more coffee...take shower...drink more coffee...
:) Yeah, Saturday is kind of my "do everything that couldn't get done during the week because of work" day. With the students with me 24/7, teaching them, acting as their 'guardian'...plus all the other stuff with living on the farm, it gets kind of crazy sometimes. I've also been asked to go on the library board in town, plus I've got a secret thing that I'm doing (I may post about it at a later date).
I bet your days are busy, busy, busy too, with cute little Elie!!! :) John and I are trying again to get to Toronto in Feb. We'll be in Richmond Hill, so maybe you and I can finally meet up again! Sorry it's taking me ages since last visit. Was that in September? I was looking at Elie's site and it makes me sad to see he's growing so fast and each time I'll see him, he'll be bigger and bigger!! Chat soon! xo
Shit Chris, That's a lot of work for one day. That's crazy. Take a rest, girl!
It's Saturday night and I don't know what to do. Don't feel like going out because it's cold. Don't feel like doing much. I tried calling you, but no one's answering. Are you guys home? I thought living on the island you would be home on a Saturday night? (LOL)
T, we were home all night. We had friends over though. Odd that we didn't get your call though.
I'm not being defensive or anything, but there is actually a lot to do on the Island. John and I are actually always busy.
I know. I'm just kidding. I guess I'm too much of a city girl so I can't imagine living where you live or how you could give up your life in the city. Don't you miss it ever? anyway, this is ridiculous blogging back and forth. Get on your MSN :0) I KNOW you're online- you must have put yourself on "appear offline"! I know your tricks! I've known you too long! (LOL) lets have a quick chat on MSN and I'll let ya get to bed.
Okay, last blog comment for the night. I don't feel as though I've given up my life in the city at all. I feel as though I've found my perfect life here. I sometimes miss the conveniences and the diversity of the city, but if I long for those things, I can always go to the city for a visit, but know that I'm coming back to my happy, quiet, comfy life here. Like I said before, not everyone can 'give up' city life and move somewhere more relaxed. In some ways I admire you, since I know I'd never survive living in the city.
See you on MSN, but not for too long since I desperately need some sleep! :) How funny is it that we're blogging back and forth?!
That's a mad list, man. If you saw the condition of my flat right now, you'd be horrified!
