I'm baaaaaack!!!

It's so nice to get away sometimes, but I'm always so glad to return home :)

K & J's wedding was a spectacular event. It was held at the Museum of Nature in Ottawa. Needless to say, it was very sophisticated and elegant. The guests got a special treat-- a tour of the dinosaur and bird exhibits.
The food presentation was pretty impressive!

The bride was stunning and the groom was dashing. We are so excited for the newlyweds. They are certainly one of our favourite couples ever.

While in Ottawa, we also had a chance to spend some time with some very good family friends. Good food, good company, good times. That's what life is all about--Being with the people you love the most in the world. Little Lily is such a sweet girl! Too cute!

Now we're home and my friend Dina, her hubby and their baby are here for a few days. Tomorrow, we're off to do some touristy things! I'm going to take them to the Bridal Veil Falls, Providence Bay, Carter Bay, and the Manitoulin Soap Factory. We'll wrap up the evening with supper at the Garden's Gate Restaurant :)
I love these photos of Elie! He was so excited to see the kittens! Our lovely friend, E with the kittens! Aren't they the cutest little fuzz balls you've ever seen???
The surf and turf supper: baked salmon with dill, steak, salad with homemade balsamic vinaigrette, dinner rolls (made my my MIL), scalloped potatoes, green pepper, homemade apple sauce, strawberry/rhubarb/raspberry dessert and to commemorate our one year wedding anniversary, we all ate the top of Hubby's and my wedding cake. Totally decadent--chocolate mousse cake!

Hubby took the last pic. I thought it was kind of cool.

Ohhh KITTENS!
I miss having kittens around, but now only have 2 boys who are fixed, kinda prohibits the possibility of the kittens. SIGH

You are such a Busy Busy Girl! Off to a wedding and then back with house guests.

Sounds like you had a great time, plus friends to celebrate your anniversary. Very special indeed!

Enjoy the touristy sites! Sounds like a busy day.

Welcome back! Looks like you guys had a good time. Happy anniversary! Don'tcha love weddings? I'm a sucker who cries at every single one. Even the ones that I know are only gonna last a few years. Kidding :)

Glad you are home safe and made some wonderful memories!

That last picture is so great - hubby is an artiste... who knew!? :)

Welcome home! Hey, and the bonus is Dina and her crew are visiting - gosh, Elie is getting cuter every time I see a pic of him. Those kitties are soooo adorable too, no wonder he's loving them!
That wedding looked so elegant. That's a beautiful spot for a wedding.
Have fun doing the touristy thing - that's one thing about having guests is it gets you to places that you never have a chance or make the time to visit on your own.

Thank you!!! Me too! I always cry at weddings! I cried at my little nephew's baptism (I know...total loser! LOL!). However, I onced couldn't stop laughing at a funeral. I have no idea why. Poor timing! It was soooooooo embarrassing!

Doggy Mama:
Thanks! You are so sweet! Thanks for the wedding anniversary e-mail. That was very thoughtful! :) As for Hubby's photo-- He was tinkering with the new digital camera he bought for our one year wedding anniversary and thought he'd test how well it would take pics of the moving blades on the fan! LOL!

They are adorable, aren't they?

Uncivil:
Thank you :) Did you miss us? LOL! J/K! Okay, after I finish replying to some comments, I'm off to see what you've been up to!

Yeah, that pic of the fan was a fluke! Hubby was just fooling around with the camera. I think it looks kinda neat though :) LOL!

I wanna be Ellie! I wanna pat the kittens, sight seeing the water falls, and see the soap factory.

You guys look amazing, by the way! You look gorgeous!! And I LOVE that hors d'oeuvres stand.

Those kitten fights are more exciting if you duct tape razor blades to their paws.

Jill:
:) Thanks! I'll cook for you anytime! ;)
Oh, yes...Elie is such a cutie! I'm really going to miss him! He was crawling all over the place, telling us stories (well, we couldn't understand him yet, but he certainly was chatty)!! He's so adorable and such a good baby!

CK:
Can't wait to see you! When did you say you guys were coming? August???

Diesel:
HAHAHA! You are too funny! That would be kinda...scary (if the kittens had razors attached to their paws)! LOL! Their little claws are sharp already!
Oh, and I just noticed that in my absence, I missed a caption contest! Grrrrrrr!
