This time last year...

I was getting excited for our wedding day.

I was stressed out with final details - flowers, menu, cake, decorations, hairdo's, make-up...

I was excited about spending the rest of my life with my wonderful hubby-to-be!!! :)

I was spending time with my wonderful maid of honor and bridesmaids.

I was arguing with my mom about everything pertaining to the wedding! LOL!

I was enjoying being with friends and family I hadn't seen in ages. Some even came from all over Canada, the US, the Philippines, Venezuela, Japan, etc.

I was getting a manicure and pedicure with my best gal pals.

I was checking out the beach (our ceremony venue) for last minute details.

I was finalizing, writing and rewriting my wedding vows.

I was trying not to become Bridezilla!!!

I can't believe that Hubby and I will have been married a year on June 17th! The year just flew by! :)

Hey there Chrissy!
hiccups? There might be hiccups?
Just kidding!

Thank you for stopping by my little neglected spot and commenting. I too am hoping to not become Bridezilla. I've seen her peek out occasionally (you know that emotionally crazed one?).

Congratulations on your 1 year anniversary!

Cherry:
LOVE your blog! Actually, the real reason I started this blog was because I was writing about wedding stuff. You know, preparing for the wedding, asking friends for advice, wedding etiquette, etc.

Your big day is coming up soon! Can't wait to hear/read the details!

Uncivil:
Thank you! It went by so fast! I can't believe it's a year already.

Yes, m'am! We'll be in Ottawa this weekend for K & J's wedding. We'll be sharing the same wedding weekend anniversary! That'll make it easy to remember each other's anniversaries!

Doggy Mama:
Hi! Thank you for your sweet comments on the blog! You are such a gem :) Hope you guys are all well! Thinking of ya!

I know! Time flies, eh? I can't believe we'll be married a year already. I can't believe Elie is almost a year old!!! Crazy!
Oh, I have a question. Did you save the top of your wedding cake? I've been told that it's tradition to save the top of the cake and freeze it, and take it out on your first year wedding anniversary and eat it. My SIL told me that you are supposed to save and freeze it and eat it when you have your first born! LOL! Not sure which one is the more common one. Do you know?

CK:
Yes! Oh, and a year ago this weekend, you were on the island for our wedding!! Can't wait to see you and Ivy again! Did you say sometime in August?

Canine:
Thanks! Wow...That is soooooooo weird! I was JUST about to e-mail you and then I saw your post! LOL! I'll e-mail you anyway...but maybe in the morning :) Off to bed I go!

Happy Anniversary, Chrissy and Hubby!! One year, and I CAN believe it flies by!
We're coming up to 14 years and if it weren't for the kids, a few extra pounds and a few more gray hairs, I could swear it was just yesterday that we got married!
Congrats again!

The pics of your girls are so cute! Yes, the arguments.....*sigh* I don't understand why people don't understand that it's your wedding, so let you do things your way!! LOL! I guess with all the wedding excitement, people tend to want to put in their 'two cents' even when they haven't been asked. It just bugged me that people were telling me, "Oh, why don't you do this?" or "This would be a great idea!" Hello???? It's OUR wedding! If you want to do something differently, then have your own wedding! LOL!

It was a perfect day and I wouldn't change a thing. I loved our wedding! I am just so glad that this will be the only time I'm ever going to do this! LOL! I don't know if I could go through all that again! LOL!

Hot Mommy:
Thank you! Wedded bliss :) This year has been one crazy busy year! Will things ever slow down a bit? LOL!

Mrs. Mogul:
Thanks!

Beachmama:
Thank you! That photo was taken on the beach where we got married! My sister-in-law and my little nieces decorated the beach for the ceremony. Those benches on the beach for the guests to sit on are actually salvaged barn beams from one of the old barns! A week before the wedding, we had to take down the barn because it was too old and dangerous to work in. It was such a sad time, but at least part of the barn served a purpose and had a special place at our wedding :)

Ms.Mamma:
Thank you! Oh, and I think YOU are fabulous! ;) Hugs to you and SF!

LOL! I love your comment! Time does fly by so quickly, eh? Yet at the same time, it feels like it was only yesterday that we got married. Some days it feels like we've been together for yeeeeeeeeears and other days, not so long. All I know is that each day with Hubby is a wonderful one. I am so lucky! Do you know that we still haven't had a fight or argument yet??? Is that crazy or what?

I can be a bit feisty and hot tempered, but Hubby is so cool, calm and collected all the time. He is so patient, understanding, comforting...and reasonable! Grrrr! LOL! When I get worked up about something, we never argue. He always calms me down and talks to me about what's bugging me. How did I ever get so lucky? I feel sorry for Hubby! LOL! :)

Audrey:
Wow! Happy Anniversary on the 30th! A wedding and three babies later...and you guys are still as happy as ever! I love the pics of your little guys! They are adorable! What a beautiful family you have, Audrey! :)

Wow, congratulations! Sounds like you're still pretty psyched about it. :)

we saved our cake but the freezer ended up busting while we were on our honeymoon so the wedding cake along with all the other desserts from our wedding went to the garbage! I have heard you should save the top layer and eat on your anniversary but i have never heard the second "tradition"..

Happy Anniversary! You both look so happy. I wish you many many more years of happiness!

Did you say June 17th? Because that's MY Anniversary as well! It will be 7 happy years and three kids later for us!
