Today I'm Thankful for...
On Thanksgiving, we have a tradition of having each person at the dinner table say something that they are thankful for. I am thankful for many things and among them are the following:
1) I'm thankful for having such a wonderful, caring, loving, understanding, patient, hardworking husband.
2) I'm thankful for having an amazing family.
3) I'm thankful for having fantastic friends (some of whom have traveled a long way to spend Thanksgiving weekend with us).
4) I'm thankful for great students and having the opportunity to teach some brilliant, talented, warm, and inquisitive students.
5) I'm thankful for my pup, Chance. He'll be turning 5 yrs old on Saturday (Hubby's b-day is on Friday).
6) I'm thankful for being able to live on a beautiful island.
7) I'm thankful for having a roof over our heads and food on our plates.
8) Most of all, I'm just thankful to be happy and healthy and able to enjoy the life that I have :)

About the Blog Author
City girl moves to the country, falls in love, and marries a farmer. She tries to incorporate her city ways with her new country lifestyle and blogs to keep in touch with friends, family & students who live far, far away :) Can this city girl go country? Watch as she learns all sorts of exciting things about life on the farm and in a small rural community. *UPDATE* We are now parents! Our baby girl was born on Nov. 11, 2008 (at 28 weeks gestation- 12 weeks premature, but she's quite the trooper)!!!

Happy Belated Thanksgiving. I always forget that you guys have it before us. (smile)
I loved reading this post. It's really important to remember all the things to be greatful for.
I'm thankful for my pint of Guinness.

It sounds like you had a great thanksgiving too, C! What a lovely post!
You certainly do have much to be thankful for, Chrissy! And I am thankful to call you a friend! :)

Thank you! Happy belated Thanksgiving to you as well! Just checked out your latest posts. Little Apple is absolutely gorgeous! J looks like a wonderful big brother!
Hubby:
Awww! Thank you! Love you! xo
Pavel:
Thanks! Btw, I spent a few Thanksgiving holidays in the US too (with friends and family). The thing that we don't have that you guys do is biscuits!!
Pete:
That's something a lot of people are thankful for! LOL! I can't drink the stuff though. A friend of mine from the UK once told me that a pint of Guinness a day keeps the doctor away. LOL!
Karen:
We did have a great time. I can't believe it's already October! Time flies!
Jane:
Awww! I'm thankful to be able to call you my friend too! xoxo
