Toronto-Kingston-Ottawa-Montreal: Part Deux
Toronto, Ontario:
We kicked off our trip with our first stop being in Toronto. We did a little shopping and spent the rest of our time visiting with friends and family. I had a chance to see Nathanial's Mommy and her newest addition to her family. I can't believe Nathanial's Mommy's little girl is already a month old! I also spent some time with KarenMEG and Gavie's Girl.
I noticed that while in Toronto, I started wheezing and I even had an asthma attack. I haven't had an asthma attack since I was thirteen years old!!! Is it possible for a person to be allergic to the city??? Perhaps it's the change in air quality or the smog and car fumes (though Toronto isn't that polluted). I don't know. It's just odd that I reacted the way I did, considering I used to live in Toronto!
We also spent some time with some good friends from college and university. It was great hanging out again.
Montreal, Quebec:

I cannot stress how much I love Montreal! Walking along the cobblestone streets of Old Montreal just gives you the feeling that you're in a quaint little town somewhere in Europe. All the old buildings, the art, the architecture...It all just blows me away each time I go there. Having grown up in Montreal, I guess I am somewhat biased. J'aime Montreal!

About the Blog Author
City girl moves to the country, falls in love, and marries a farmer. She tries to incorporate her city ways with her new country lifestyle and blogs to keep in touch with friends, family & students who live far, far away :) Can this city girl go country? Watch as she learns all sorts of exciting things about life on the farm and in a small rural community. *UPDATE* We are now parents! Our baby girl was born on Nov. 11, 2008 (at 28 weeks gestation- 12 weeks premature, but she's quite the trooper)!!!

Hey Chris! Great pics, looks like you guys had so much fun! Cute pic of your student with les chucoteuses! Haha! And yes I do beleive it is possible for a person to be allergic to the city! Your not used to that environment anymore and the air quality's different. Your spoiled with all that fresh country air now! ~Haha
Hot Mommy:
Hey! BTW, I got some Montreal Bagels :) I know you wanted some. Come on over!
hey there,
it was great to see you- even if it was only for a short visit!!
I believe it is possible to be allergic to the air here...hubby was allergic to the air up where you are!! He nver had such bad allergies in his life!!
Glad your trip was awesome but i'm sure you're very happy to be home sweet home!!
Chrissy- I love the photo of Chance. Glad you had a super time!
Dina:
I was really happy to see you in TO! I'm just so sad it was for such a short time! Maybe next time we can spend a bit more time together!
Yes, I remember Gav's allergies when he was here. I felt so badly for him :( I'm sure the dog and the cats and kittens didn't help the situation :(
When I lived in the city, I'd react to pollen in the spring, so I was worried about my allergies with me moving up here. Now that I live in the country, I react to car fumes and smog when I'm in the city. Weird! It's funny what your body can get immune to and what it just won't tolerate.
Anyway, if you guys come again (despite allergies), we have to take Elie to the beaches and a whole bunch of other activities. July and August are the best months to come :)
Ms.Mamma:
Thank you! Remember a while back I said I could never get a good photo of Chance? That dog just moves so much and it's hard to get a good shot of him! This photo captured the essence of Chance though :) I can't believe he's 5 years old already. My boy is growing up so fast! LOL!
Chance's coat seems to be growing back well.
Love the pics of your holiday and places you visited.
Would be interesting if your doc thinks that the city could have triggered an asthma attack!
Looks like fun. I want to go somewhere.
You have the most amazing road trips - lucky students. Maybe if I shed about 30 years I could qualify for a home study with you :)
Great photos! I miss Montreal, might have to make a trip soon.
