For Lack of Anything Better to Blog About...
I'm anxious for our next prenatal appointment and ultrasound next Wednesday! I cannot wait to see how much bigger "Junior" has gotten! I know some people are against too many ultrasounds and still think it may be detrimental to the baby later on, but I LOVE ultrasounds! It's just so exciting to see that little miracle inside you...moving, kicking, flailing its arms around. It sounds really simple of me, but these days, nothing brings me more joy than knowing that there's a life growing inside there.
"Junior" has been very active lately. So active, that it's been really difficult to get to sleep at night! I am starting to recognize patterns in the little one's activity. When I wake up at 6AM, Junior gives me a few kicks to let me know that he (or she) is awake too. Around 10 or 11AM the kicks start coming again. These ones are more like kung-fu kicks or kickboxing jabs! Later on, around 2 to 3PM I feel lots of movement again. Around supper time (6PM or so) the pokes start. "Junior" is most active around 10 or 11PM...when I want to go to sleep. It's really funny! Oh, and again at 4AM, which prompts a trip to the loo. I know. TMI!!!
I was talking to my good friend, Gavie's Gal on the phone the other day and she was telling me that she noticed with her own two babies that they seem to have had the same awake patterns in the womb as when they had when they were out! Wow! If that's the case, then this kid is going to be awake THAT often??? Ay! Mama mia!

City girl moves to the country, falls in love, and marries a farmer. She tries to incorporate her city ways with her new country lifestyle and blogs to keep in touch with friends, family & students who live far, far away :) Can this city girl go country? Watch as she learns all sorts of exciting things about life on the farm and in a small rural community. *UPDATE* We are now parents! Our baby girl was born on Nov. 11, 2008 (at 28 weeks gestation- 12 weeks premature, but she's quite the trooper)!!!

That looks like my 51-year-old belly.
So cute Chris! You've got that pregnant lady glow!
Jeanna:
Whatcha talkin' 'bout, Willis? You ain't 51!
I know this is an odd question, but do you like chocolate truffles?
Hot Mommy:
Thanks! I woke up this morning in total shock! The belly had changed shape again! I shrug at the thought of what it'll look like 3 to 4 months from now! GAH!
Oooh, your belly is the cutest! you are simply glowing.
The baby's sleep patterns are similar to your womb for an amount of time it seems. {Just speaking from my experience, here. :) }
But, my kids developped sleeping patterns with my help sometimes, like regularly trying to help them sleep by feeding them at certain times, rubbing their forehead, their backs... Basically, gettign them used to relaxing during that time. :)
I remember my midwife said to me: "Breastfeeding is like a dance ; you learn his moves, he learns your moves." You can apply this to many things about children, including sleeping patterns.
Out of all the kids, I have had some kids who slept almost all day from birth until 12 months old, and I have had some who slept only little snatches during the day. It depends alot on the baby. :)
Who doesn't, C. I bagged up my Halloween candy today and am going to drop it off at the tech school on a random table to get it out of the house.
Suddenly, I've gained weight. Wonder why?
Rosie:
Merci! :) Everyone has been ooh-ing and ahh-ing at the belly recently. I went to the grocery store to pick up some milk and yogurt, and everyone wanted to touch it! It was like I had a sign on me that said, "Touch My Belly!" or something! I don't know if I feel okay with random people latching onto the belly or if I feel uncomfortable. Sometimes I shrug a bit, because it weirds me out when people I don't know touch me. I know that they have good intentions and that they are just excited about the baby...but still!
Good point about each baby being different :) That is so true! Can't really compare, I guess! :)
Jeanna:
Just askin', cuz you might be getting some in your package! Hey, are you going to eat the stuff I send you? I'm glad I didn't send it BEFORE Halloween...You might have bagged them up and dropped them off somewhere! You wouldn't though, right? I mean, dis is da good $h!t, man! ;) Okay, so that wasn't my best Cheech and Chong.
Whoa girl, that's baby bump to the 10th power!
Great picture C, you look awesome!
it is amazing how much a baby grows in just a week! you are looking beautiful, btw.
I'd rather you didn't tempt me, but no, I wouldn't drop it off like the three lb. bag of Halloween candy I just dropped off at school.
I seemed to have gained ten lbs over night.
Will you stop putting on those wonderful pictures of you and your baby bump???!!!!! Now I want another....... Okay, I love seeing your pictures, so keep posting lots of them. But I still want another!!
I am loving the updates! Junior is sure active. Do post us a scan update when you go on Wednesday.
Wow C I can just feel your excitement! Just 4 more months to go!!!
I can't wait for my next ultrasound too which be like in 1 1/2 months!!! Seems like forever!
Gorgeous!! You look fantastic :)
