Happy Mother's Day!!!

Today is a very special Mother's Day for me. It's my first Mother's Day as a Mom. This time last year, I was really sad because I really, really wanted to be a Mom and it seemed like everyone I knew already had a baby or was even on baby #2 or 3!

Little did we know, that on May 31st, 2008 we would discover that we were "expecting". A year later, this is what I am blessed with:

Our precious Little One. Look! She loves reading! Just like her Mom! Although she's not into Wuthering Heights or Little Women yet, she does love to be read to and she does love holding books in her tiny hands.

Hubby surprised me with a beautiful bouquet of flowers. He also made pancakes (with our homemade maple syrup!) and cinnamon buns for breakfast! He washed the dishes, took care of Little One, and is preparing supper with my Dad for all the Moms (his Mom, my Mom, his sister and me) tonight! Why can't every day be Mother's Day? ;)

Little One was really interested in the flowers. She kept smiling and cooing at them!

These, however, are the two greatest Mother's Day gifts I could ask for:

Oh, so precious!

Little One will be 6 months old (chronological and 3 months old corrected) tomorrow. Here's her 6 month photo with her Moo, since we won't be able to take a photo of her and Moo tomorrow. We're on our way to Montreal for a week! My cousin is getting married!
Just to show how much she's grown, this is the first photo I took of her with Moo back in February. She was 3 months chronological age in this photo and supposed to be newly born in her corrected age.
Happy Mother's Day to all you wonderful Moms out there!!! Hope you have an amazing day! :)

Happy Mama's day!
She's so very adorable and what a great shot with her and hubs all nuzzled together.

I can't believe she's already 6 months old. Makes me wonder how long ago it was that you wandered over to my blog and we "met".

Only one thing in the entire world is more glorious and beautiful and hopeful and loving than those flowers... Little One! Who, by the way, is not so little anymore!

You are the most inspirational mommy... the way you cherish each moment of each day. The way your heart surrounds everything you touch. The way your family swells you with love that cannot even be described in words.

You are a miracle to Little One just as she is a miracle to you! I hope each day continues to be Mother's Day for you... just as it should be!!
With much love,
Sharon

Thank you so much! Yes, I am lucky. Hubby spoiled me on Mother's Day. Although, he is the type to spoil more in actions and gestures rather in material ways. He did an awesome job for my first Mother's Day. My mom said, "this means you're going to have to work hard to keep up for his first Father's Day!" I said, "What do you mean?! EVERY day is Father's Day!" LOL! ;p *jokes* But it WAS nice to have a day of not cooking or cleaning!!! Oh, and a day of him taking care of the baby (other than me nursing her though)!

Thank you sooo much! Sorry for the late reply! I'm in Montreal at the moment. I haven't had much internet time with all the visiting friends and family. We're back on Monday. Did you have a good Mother's Day?

Cherry:
I know! 6 months already!!!! Yikes!
I have no idea how long you and I have been blog buddies! I think I found Ms.Mamma via my friend Fancy Pantsy Momma's original blog, and J via Ms.Mamma, and you via J! I remember corresponding via our blogs before you and Eric got married. So glad we "met"! You really are a special person! :)

You're six months a mommy!!!!

Hey, what's going on over at Jeanna's blog at the Dish? I couldn't log on to it?

Anyway, Happy belated Mommie's day!

Arg, I can NOT find your email. Wanted to tell you I'll discontinue The Dish sometime in June when I get more of the new blog in place (less candy, more outside, same amount of dogs.)
You are welcome to something from the parting All Candy Expo goody bag if you like and can give me feedback which I'd like to post; sort of my fav bloggers posting thoughts before I go.
And I'll look for that photo of Chance you sent, but I think it's filed away somewhere, I'd like to put his photo up because he got left out that one time.
Hope all is well w/you and the fam.
Love y'all.
