good times

A pic of the boys before the little one ate the lump of coal! LOL!

Opening presents...
The boys thought it would be funny to give PJ a magical fairy wand as a joke.
I somehow got stuck frying all the lumpia (filipino springrolls). I always get stuck doing the dirty work! LOL :)

The Christmas spread (minus the dessert: fruit salad and tiramisu)
Thanks for the recipe Jill! I tried your tiramisu recipe for last night's dessert and it was a hit...and so quick and easy to do!!!

Canine! Yes, it is indeed lunpia! What's the veggie one called? I know the smaller ones with meat in it are called lumpia Shanghai, but can't remember the name of the bigger ones with veggies in it.

i think it's just called lumpia (if it's fried). if it's the fresh kind, it's called Sariwang Lumpia. those are not fried - the wrapper is a thin crepe with fresh vegetables served with a peanut sauce. mmm.

i like the shanghai ones too! those are so good!

too bad they are time consuming to make. i'd be making them quite often. as is often the case, we just order batches already fried up.
