This Is Dedicated To The One I Love
It's hard to believe that three years ago, Hubby and I were wed. The day before our wedding, it poured! We I planned on was set on having a beach wedding, so we didn't really have a Plan B. Through some miracle, the day of the wedding it was BEAUTIFUL! The weather was perfect. The day after the wedding??? Well, you guessed it! It poured again!
Hubby is the type of person who will drop what he's doing to help other people. He's patient and kind. He listens more than he speaks (*ahem* Quite the opposite of yours truly!). He thinks things over before he acts or reacts (Again, totally opposite of me!).
Hubby is "country". I'm "city". Hubby is very White Anglo-Saxon Protestant (his words, not mine!). My family lineage is more of a "mixed salada", as my Japanese students call it. Hubby is also a very practical person. His gifts are not so much on the romantic and frivolous side, but more on the practical/every-gift-has-its-purpose-and-use side. Occasionally, he'll surprise me though!
I grew up with big family parties and lots and lots of entertaining of friends and family all the time. My family spent a lot of time together and traveled together. Summer vacations spent camping and winter vacations in Florida or Trinidad and Tobago were the norm for us. Hubby's family...not so much.
In many ways, Hubby balances me out. We're so different in so many ways, but we seem to work well together. It's always an adventure with Hubby!
Three years ago, we were wed on the beach at Carter's Bay. Today, we have a beautiful, healthy baby girl. Life is pretty darn good!
This has got to be THE WORST photo of us...EVER!!! This was taken the day before Little One made her surprise entrance into the world! November 11th, 2008 will forever be etched in my memory! While I was in Toronto on hospital bed rest and with the baby in the NICU for two months, Hubby drove back and forth between the Island and Toronto to visit us every two weeks. Six hours each way was pretty exhausting for him, but he wanted to be with his girls.
He loved her from the first moment he saw her. This tender moment makes me cry.
I love you, Hubby! HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!!!!

He's so good with Little One. She loves her Daddy!

About the Blog Author
City girl moves to the country, falls in love, and marries a farmer. She tries to incorporate her city ways with her new country lifestyle and blogs to keep in touch with friends, family & students who live far, far away :) Can this city girl go country? Watch as she learns all sorts of exciting things about life on the farm and in a small rural community. *UPDATE* We are now parents! Our baby girl was born on Nov. 11, 2008 (at 28 weeks gestation- 12 weeks premature, but she's quite the trooper)!!!

Ellie:
Awwww! Thanks! You are so sweet! I wish you guys could have popped on over to the Island while you were (sort of) in our neck of the woods! When's the next time you'll be down this way?
I miss you TONS!!! We need to catch up soon. Maybe a phone call sometime? Last time I spoke to you, I was on hospital bed rest (and thinking I was going to go full term with LO)!!! Much catching up to do! XO
Fancy:
Thank you! :) Can't believe it's 3 years already. It sometimes seems longer than that and other times it doesn't seem that long. Weird.
Thanks again for the dipes and other things! You are too kind! xo
Congratulations and Happy Anniversary!
I think that is a great picture of you both by the way.
I love seeing sweet Daddy daughter pictures.
Happy anniversary!!! What an amazing journey between the two of you...now THREE! I just loved reading this, and that last photo of you all is beautiful.
Congratulations. You two are so adorable together. HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!!

Happy Anniversary to a lovely couple! Congratulations on your first three years as a married couple, and may you enjoy many, many more. :)
I was impressed today, that I got a comment on my blog from your dear husband! Wow! Please say thank you to him.
That was beautiful, happy anniversary, to you and your wonderful farmer, C!
You have such a beautiful family, I'm soooo happy for you :)!
Jinxy:
Thank you! You are so sweet! I love Baby and Daddy photos too. There's something so special about them :)
Momisodes:
Thank you sooooo much :) It has been quite the journey, hasn't it? In many ways, I'm glad I started blogging. This way, I get to look back on all our adventures.
Humps:
Thanks you! :) Hey, I'm waiting to see more pics of Baby! She is just too adorable! She's just like her Mama!
J:
Thank you! I was just thinking what the next three years will be like :)
Yeah! That is so funny. Hubby rarely comments on blogs. He doesn't even go on FB much...ever! He must have found your post REALLY interesting to have commented! :) I think he likes your blog :)
Karen:
Thanks! We were going to go out for our anniversary, but I was too tired. LOL! We ended up going to my parents' and they made a wonderful lobster dinner for us! YUM! I haven't had lobster in ages.
Hubby and I got ourselves a new computer for our anniversary present. Ours is on its last legs. It's so darn slow right now.
Now, for Father's Day!! Any ideas what you're getting the hubster? ERrrmmm...I mean, what the kids are getting him? I'm thinking of getting Hubby either a GPS or a new BBQ.
Happy Anniversary C!! Beautiful family you got there =)
Happy Anniversary to you two, you're lucky you found each other.
Awwww.... Happy anniversary you two! Love the pics. I know exactly what you mean about balancing eachother out. My hubby and I are the same way. Must be a farmer thing!! Anyway, hope you have a great anniversary and many more to come! Little One is truly precious and rounds out your family well, but when does baby number two come?? LOL
Take care...
