About the Blog Author
City girl moves to the country, falls in love, and marries a farmer. She tries to incorporate her city ways with her new country lifestyle and blogs to keep in touch with friends, family & students who live far, far away :) Can this city girl go country? Watch as she learns all sorts of exciting things about life on the farm and in a small rural community. *UPDATE* We are now parents! Our baby girl was born on Nov. 11, 2008 (at 28 weeks gestation- 12 weeks premature, but she's quite the trooper)!!!

It looks beautiful and lots of fun (and this is coming from a non camper/non outdoors girl)
Ashley:
Tee hee! They've got a bed and breakfast too if you're not inclined to camping :)
If you have never been to norhtern Ontario! You have no idea what the real milky way it! OR how amazing the stars at night are! Great post! I have never been as far as you are! LOL
Tammy:
You should come for a visit, Tammy! :) Your kids will have a blast! The beaches and waterfalls are gorgeous too! There's also the Manitoulin Chocolate Works! Just sayin'! ;)
Ok that's it, we have to sleep in tee pees when I come!!
Sober Julie:
HAHA! I know! Isn't that the coolest? :) Your kids will love it! So much fun! You know what? Gordon's Park is just up the road from us! Less than a 5 min drive!
Wow this place looks amazing! If I make it out to Manitoulin (which I hope to) I will be sure to check this place out!
Looks like a beautiful place!
Wow! These cool places need to be closer to where we live!
Kelly:
If/WHEN you visit, I'll take you guys to Providence Bay beach, Bridal Veil Falls, the Chocolate Works and all the other awesome places on the Island too!
MTM:
Thank you! It is certainly one of Canada's hidden gems! Who would have thought the water here at the beaches would be aqua/turquoise!? I never expected to see anything so beautiful in Northern Ontario! LOL!
Ashley:
I know what you mean! I'm always amazed to see how many tourists we have to drive 10+ hours every year to spend a few days/weeks here. It really is refreshing!
Oh that looks like a great getaway with a mix of amenities. I gotta say, while I still prefer full on back country backpacking, with kiddos I can also appreciate the luxury of a B&B in the woods, or just a picnic table and an outhouse!
And I'm so jealous of how little light pollution you have up there, plus the northern lights? swoon!
Totally makes me want to go camping! I love the tipies they are cool.
