New Year

Wishing you all a very Happy, Healthy, Prosperous, Blessed New Year! We have a lot to be thankful for this year.

*I am thankful for all our friends and family. Thank you all for your love and support. You mean the world to us.

*I'm thankful for our health and thankful that Hubby's mom is healthy and that my parents are also doing well.

*I'm thankful that we have a comfy home to call our own...even though I haven't stepped foot in it since I was sent to the hospital in Toronto in October!!

*I'm thankful that my pup, Chance is doing well. I lost my beloved feline baby, Trouble to an unfortunate accident last month. I don't know what I'd do if anything happened to my dog.

*I think the safe arrival of our Little One has got to be the greatest blessing of all for Hubby and me. I am so thankful that she is healthy and that everything is going well. She is the greatest gift we could have ever received.
She was pretty unimpressed upset mad ticked off with us here! Note to self: Little One absolutely hates being dressed up in a Santa's hat!
She loves her Daddy. I think Daddy loves her too! ;)
She's getting bigger! When she was just born, she could fit in the palm of my hand! No joke! Now I need two hands to hold her!
She loves looking at her reflection in the mirror. She's obsessed with her hands!
Little One LOVES her bath! She just sits there and watches as we bathe her. She is so patient and curious.
Wow! She looks sooooooooooooo Asian in this photo! She does have her Daddy's ears and hair though!
A quiet moment before bedtime. Goodnight Moon!

This year I will be spending New Year's at Mount Sinai Hospital in the Level 2 Unit with Little One and some parents who are also going to ring in the new year with their babies. Sadly, Hubby will not be able to make it down to visit us. Hopefully soon we will finally be a family together on the Island.
How will YOU be spending your New Year's?

I love the picture of her having her bath! Maya loved her bath too, and now we have trouble getting her out of the shower in a decent amount of time. ;)

We'll be having Autumns Mom and Cherry and their husbands over for New Years, though AM is just coming for a few hours and then going on to her SILs house after. Should be fun.

I'm so amazed at how wonderfully LO is doing, being born as early as she was born. SO happy for you all.

wow!!! Very nice photos of the family!!! I especially like the one where she is getting bathed. So cute!!! She looks so relaxed there! And yes, she has that Asian look to her! I think mestiza babies are so good looking! Good genes from her parents! :)

As for our plans - lunch at my parents. lots of food. For NY's eve, not sure yet. Most likely will stay at home.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

i will mail out the apple earrings this week ok?

Hey Chrissy
I am sorry John can't be there. I was planning on coming to see you this week, but both Jeff and Nathanial have had colds and I don't want to be near you especially since the wee one is in a big girl crib. I am just so happy for you that she is doing so so well. I hope to come down over the weekend if that is ok with you. Also, any news if she will be moved to NYG? Thinking of you always.

Oh I think I will be spending my New Years at home with the hubby. We were to go to a friends cottage but that didn't work out and then we were to go to their house since we have spent that past 2 New Years with them but this year due to colds I think we are home.

She looks so big now, like a newborn not a preemie!

I'm spending my New Years alone (with a sleeping toddler) because Nathan has to work in town all night. Sigh.

What wonderful pictures!! I am so glad things are going well, I have been thinking about you guys! And you are so much closer to going home now, it won't be long!! Even if the new hospitla is 2.5 hours away, that is so much better than the distance that separates you now!

We are celebrating New Year's Eve by praying the power doesn't go out, as there is a big storm headed our way, and playing games and watching movies. I hate New Year's Eve and like to go to bed early, but now with kids old enough to stay up until midnight and beyond, I will try to keep my eyes open!

Happy New Year!

Hugs,
Ellie

I like the first and last pics the best! What a beautiful family, and Papa sleeping with his baby girl!

I think I'm just gonna stay "home alone" tonight. Had some offers to go out, but just not in the mood?

Miss Civil has the girls for the New Year. I had them for 12 days in a row at Christmas. That was my "12 Days of Christmas"!!!LOL!!!

Happy New Year!

Happy New Year Christine!!!
I am sorry John can't make it back here to be with you and LO but i'm sure you will be in his thoughts, as he will be in yours :)

We are going to a kids party from 6-9 then home for a quiet evening of TV and sleep...my little monkey decided to wake at 4am this morning and he wouldn't go back to bed so needless to say we're all pretty exhausted!!

Oh C! I haven't been able to read blogs for a few weeks so I'm anxiously catching up with your blog first.

So much has happened in the last few weeks! So many exciting milestones. I'm so happy to read your updates and see such wonderful pictures.

I wanted to send you some preemie outfits but didn't know when she would move to a crib, and now I'm afraid she's already outgrown the ones I have. What's her weight now?

Today I am doing laundry and trying to recoup from the last few weeks. Later tonight we will be celebrating J's birthday with her and her family, and perhaps maybe the new year too :-) but it's J's day first!

I want to wish you, your hubby and LO a very happy new year! How could it get any better?

Aw, she is so, so sweet!!!! I love that picture of her so snug and looking so Asian LOL!

You'll find as she grows she'll probably go through phases where she looks Asian, then not so Asian ... I know in particular little G, little chameleons.

Hope your New Year's was okay, despite John not being there. I spent a few hours with my parents at the hospital, then came home and made pizza with Ian and the kids, watched a movie with them and downed a bottle of Veuve Cliquot with the hubby watching the Nathan Philips Square countdown on TV. Even dipped a bit into his glass... yes, I'm so classy!

Wishing you a wonderful 2009 with your family, C. Hope to see you soon!
