How Many Milestones Can a Mama Take in Just a Week?
Dearest Little One,
You are growing way too quickly for my liking. I have to admit that in the beginning, I thought you'd stay tiny for a long time! When you were born, you fit into the palm of your Daddy's hand. Your hand was the size of his thumbnail! At 2 lbs, 3 oz, it seemed like it would take forever for you to get bigger!
How was I to know that you would be more than seven times your birth weight in a few months? You really do amaze me. Our time in the NICU seemed like it would last forever and now it seems so far away.
In the past week or so, you have:
* started sleeping in your own room.
* started napping during the day! Your naps are short-lived, but Mama's still happy you're finally napping!
* continued to sleep from 9PM to 9AM.
* started going to playgroup and socializing with other babies.
* started really feeding yourself. Though you are very messy, Mommy thinks it's good for you to feed yourself.* continued to roll or slither on your belly to get where you want to go.
*been teething. Your two bottom front teeth and one on the top are visible below the gum line. They haven't poked through yet, but we can see those chompers of yours!
* been really vocal and communicative. Your range of sounds has increased tremendously.
* been really paying attention to what's on TV! You bop around and "sing" along with the Doodlebops on TV! That seems to be your favourite show at the moment.
* started making your smiley, scrunchy face when you smile. It is the cutest thing ever!
* started standing up (not pulling yourself up on your own yet) . You support yourself against the couch or the exersaucer (or Daddy)! You seem really proud of this new trick.
* continued to sit every well on your own.
* been trying to walk with the help of Daddy, Lola and Grampy. Mommy doesn't want you to walk anytime soon! ;)Sometimes it makes me sad to see how quickly you are growing. Before we know it, you'll be ready for kindergarten! Oh, boy. I don't even want to think how emotional that day will be!
In the meantime, continue discovering all the exciting new things each day brings. Continue being your happy, smiley self. You make us so happy.
We love you.
Mommy and Daddy xoxo

Oh god Chrissy, that rocking back and forth video took me back about 13 years! SO CUTE. Made me want a baby, actually, which is SO not going to happen any time soon. I'll have to wait until Cherry has one for me to play with.
Did you see the 19 lb baby? I thought of your tiny 2 pounder, and how she SHOT out of you, and how this huge baby just....didn't. Difficult C-Section, I read.
Anyway, you have the sweetest baby ever. I want to eat her. Again.
hi c - ooh, she's rolling...she'll be pulling herself up on furniture before you know it!!!
i remember bert being so excited because TC was on her stomach and did what he called a "pushup"...like she was really trying hard to get herself up...we never did catch it on video...but it was fun watching her progress from rolling to cruising to walking. she barely even crawled!
fun times ahead! : )
little one is so so cute! like kittens, pandans, lopeared bunnies, unicorns and rainbows all rolled into one!
word ver:
hiess
She is adorable! Enjoy...it does go so quickly.
I love the cute video! Your little miracle daughter must make you so very proud!
J:
Must be nice being brought back to when Maya was a baby! That way you can see just how much has changed in 13 years! She's a beautiful, bright young lady now!
Yes! I did see the 19 lb baby! All I can say is HOLY SMOKES!!! That is CRAZY! That newborn weighs more than Little One does at 10 months! :) Wow. I simply cannot imagine giving birth to a 19 lb baby. Gahhhhhh!
Canine:
Yeah, she's on all fours and rocking back and forth...almost like she's going to propel herself forward (or launch herself into orbit)! Pretty crazy. I just looked at her this morning and thought, "Oh my gosh! How did you grow up so quickly??"
Fancy:
Thank you! I am enjoying seeing your two girls grow too! Thank goodness for blogs :) I sometimes wish I still lived in TO though so I could do things with you and your girls and Dina and her two kids.
I've actually got a few BF questions for you. I'm going to send you an e-mail soonish. xo

Thank you! :) We are so happy and proud...and overjoyed! I know it sounds silly, but sometimes it feels like my heart is so fully that it's going to explode. Funny how children can do that to us. LOL...let's see if I feel this way in 18 years, right? ;) j/k
That video is BEYOND adorable. I can't believe that Little One is getting ready to crawl. How awesome is that. I'm excited for you. :)

I asked to walk a mile, invite him, or in this case her, to walk two, three, four, ...
Isn't it great to see/know that there will be countless miles to walk, to discover life again...
A wonderful weekend to all of you !

Thank you for sharing your joy with us.
I saw that 19lb baby too OMG the poor mom.
Humps:
Awww! Thanks! We're having a lot of fun with Little One. She's much more expressive and interactive now. She's such a sweet little thing. Love her!
Also love seeing new pics of your sweet Baby!!! I'm heading to Montreal for a week, but hope to get a chance to chat with you on the phone when I get back. I've been meaning to see how you're doing! XO
Robert:
:)
Hope your weekend was a great one too!
Canine:
Hahaha! Your comment made me laugh so hard that I almost choked on my tea! Yeah...drinking tea. It's starting to get chilly at night now. Fall is definitely here.
Jimmy:
Oh no! A curtain climber is definitely not something I need! LOL! I once had a cat that climbed curtains!
Trish:
I have been thinking of you!!! How are things where you are? How are the twins?
Gosh C- she is just so sweet!! I love the video :)
