Another Round of What's in Your Bag? {Skip*Hop Studio Bag Review + GIVEAWAY}
Then along came Little One.
After the birth of our daughter, my need for function won over fashion. I resorted to using Little One's diaper bag as a purse. I know, I know. For those fashion forward Mamas, that could be considered a definite faux pas.
I loved my diaper bag. It was roomy, held everything I needed (I swear, it could hold everything but the kitchen sink in there!), but it was a diaper bag. Not a purse.
Now that Little One is 3.5 years old, one would think I could bring back all my cute little purses. No.
Though Little One is completely toilet trained, I still carry extra panties for her. Just in case. I still carry extra clothing for her. Just in case. I still carry snacks and drinks, and things to keep her occupied (like books, small non-noisy and non-battery operated toys, crayons and a colouring book).
Even though Little One is older, I find I'm still always carrying around a lot of necessities. Thank goodness that Skip Hop has some gorgeous bags (yes, diaper bags!).
Ready for another round of WHAT'S IN YOUR BAG?
- Wipes - for cleaning hands and wiping faces (okay, and wiping yucky seats or public bathroom toilet seats. I know I'm weird)
- Sunblock - you can never be too careful
- Kleenex - for obvious reasons. Preschoolers and babies can get full of boogers
- Snacks - my 3.5 year old is always hungry
- Stainless steel water bottle for Mommy & stainless steel water bottle for Little One
- Fisher-Price Little People - I carry a bunch of them in my bag
- Stickers, crayons, paper, colouring book
- Books - Little One loves books!
- Children's Gravol (Little One gets car sick sometimes - just like her Mama)
- Children's Tylenol
- Band-Aids (Dora, Hello Kitty and Tinkerbell/Fairies)
- Sunglasses for Little One and for me
- BlackBerry Bold 9900
- Keys
- Wallet
- Lip gloss
With a whole load of stuff to carry all the time, I am so happy that Skip Hop has come up with something so practical yet so stylish! Yes, they're even stylish enough to pair with a little black dress.
When one of my absolute favourite online stores (SnuggleBugz.ca) asked me to review one of their items, I selected the SKIP*HOP STUDIO BAG.
Little black dress or hittin' the beach look. The Studio Bag is perfect for any occasion.
I chose the Pewter Dot design, but the bag comes in Black Dot, Indigo Dot, and Plum Burst as well.
There are two insulated side pockets to hold baby bottles, sippy cups, or food, but I use it for our stainless steel water bottles. There are TWELVE more pockets to keep personal items dry, secure, and within reach. That means handy spots for your keys, wallet, and cell phone! I love that there are pockets to keep everything organized! No more searching your purse for your cell phone!
Another thing I love? The fact that there are feet under the bag so that the bottom of the bag never touches the floor. Ick! I know. I'm weird like that. Don't like my purse or diaper bag touching floors...especially in public places. You never know where people have stepped!
Like I said, even though Little One is toilet trained now, I love this bag! I'm always fully stocked with all the things Little One needs, and I can use it for my items as well. Win-Win!

Definitely the Pewter. And what's in my purse? A letter that should have been mailed out ages ago. So gum wrappers. My wallet, open and empty. Some loose change. A lip gloss. And a pack of gum.

My bag/purse is crazy full. Wallet, lip glosses, hand sanitzer, pen, notepad, change wallet with health cards, etc. in it, and perfume. Sometimes wipes and my cell phone make it in there. :)

Actually, lately I've been using my over-the-shoulder purse for a diaper bag. In it, I have an extra pair of Dora underwear for my 3 year old, extra change of clothes for my 3 month old (never know when she's gonna have a blow out!), snacks, snacks, snacks, drinks x3, hand sanitizer, hats x3. In my old, awkward diaper bag I have immunization cards, and my 3 year olds' umbilical cord clamp. Yes, that's right.

Well my baby isn't due til November and my youngest child is 6so I don't have baby stuff in my bag yet, but I always make sure I have tissue, hand sanitizer, a pen, lip balm, and gum.

Hmmm, let's see: I have 2 girls so carry stuff for both of them plus myself including diapers, wipes, band-aids, a receiving blanket, socks, a bottle, keys, sunglasses, my wallet, bags for those nasty diapers, lipgloss, sunscreen, hats. Needless to say, the zipper is rarely done up because my sad little bag is bursting at the seams.
Sorry I missed the give away. I love my skip hop diaper bag. It has lasted through two kiddos and lots of travel! My husband will even carry it!
