Happy Canada Day!
Canada celebrates its 145th birthday today. All over the nation, people are celebrating. Whether it be by heading to the nation's capital to join in on all the festivities Ottawa has going on or just hanging out at the cottage by the lake, or having a BBQ with friends and family, there's no doubt that your weekend is all about having a great time with your loved ones.
For us, since Hubby's on the Fire Department and First Response Team, we spent our day supporting our local firefighters. There was a massive yard sale, lots of great attractions, a parade, and an annual fish fry. Tonight, we will be watching the fireworks down by the water.
In honour of Canada Day, I thought a little trivia would be fun. How much do you know about Canada? Here are a few questions for you. Feel free to add any "interesting facts about Canada" in the comments section on my blog!

City girl moves to the country, falls in love, and marries a farmer. She tries to incorporate her city ways with her new country lifestyle and blogs to keep in touch with friends, family & students who live far, far away :) Can this city girl go country? Watch as she learns all sorts of exciting things about life on the farm and in a small rural community. *UPDATE* We are now parents! Our baby girl was born on Nov. 11, 2008 (at 28 weeks gestation- 12 weeks premature, but she's quite the trooper)!!!

I actually have a lot more American readers than Canadian ones and would love to teach them a bit about our awesome country.
We are not all about polar bears and hockey eh.
Kimberly:
:) My American friends always tease me about using dog sleds to get to work and school and living in igloos. When I was in Florida, I met some people on the beach and they asked me what language we speak in Canada. Actually, the question was "Do you speak Canadian in Canada?" :)
Looks like you guys had a great day! We spent the evening at our local fair grounds and enjoyed the festivities. :)
Happy belated Canada day to you and yours! Looks like you had a fabulous time:)
Your daughter in that tutu is precious! What Joie de Vivre! Happy Belated Canada Day
