I'm such a geek! LOL!
I was singing my heart out...just belting out the tunes, when Hubby informed me that I got the lyrics messed up. Impossible!! I had been singing this song this way for the past two decades!! This song is a classic! I sing it when I'm happy, when I'm sad, when I'm cleaning, when I'm out with the girls, when I'm in the shower, when I'm cooking, when I'm driving...
Hubby: Uhh...by the way, it's You make me feel like a natural woman...
Me: Are you sure?
Hubby: Yes.
Me: So, it's not You make me feel like a man should a woman ???
Hubby: Uhh. No.
LOL! Twenty years of singing the song incorrectly. *sigh* Well, don't you think my way makes sense too? ;)

Hahaha! Youre too cute Chris. That's why we love you so much!
Haha! Your way does make sense, too. :)
I do this a lot with song lyrics. And my sister is ALWAYS getting lyrics wrong.
I'm with you. I always thought "natural woman" sounded weird! How do you make someone feel like a natural woman?! I'll sing it your way from now on ;-)
I like your version better.
Chrissy, perhaps the lyrics of that song should be officially changed. Your version is a lot better!
That's funny. I think it's always funny when we're belting out tunes and someone catches a faux pas or just sneaks up & surprises you. Very funny!
BWAHAHAHAHAHAHA! OH Christine, you are too funny! But I do think it should be You make me feel like a man SHOULD a woman! LOLZZZzzzzZZzz! Youre funny!
Remember when we used to think "I'm your Venus, I'm your fire, your desire" was "I'm your penis, I'm your fire..." Oh my gawd! What was wrong with our ears back then?
AHMM: Awww...thanks :)
Doggy Mama: I checked out the lyrics and Hubby was right! LOL. I also didn't realize we have the song on our Karaoke list and it does indeed say "natural woman". LOL! OMG...sooooooo embarrassing!
Girlie: I think you and I should continue singing it my way :)
Mist: Me too.
Pete: You mean you like to feel like a natural woman too? Or you like to feel like a man should a woman? ;)
Ms.Mamma: Yeah, but I like to think I've got flawless command of song lyrics. Too bad Hubby caught me! At least it was Hubby who caught me and I didn't make a fool of myself in front of other people. Wait...have I??? LOL!
t: I really, truly thought it was I'm your penis and not Venus. Doesn't that make sense too? I was in grade 5 when I thought it was that word! We were on a grade 5 ski trip and some of the girls were doing that Bangles song for the talent night. I couldn't get why the teachers let them sing a song with such profane language! I think I sang it that way until I reached high school and someone told me I was wrong! Blehhh.
Parsing the song your way makes my head hurt. It's unnatural, I tell you.
That is really funny, chrissy!
OMG Chrissy, what a riot! I laughed out loud!
Funny but true story: At work we have a very angry, very paraoid, very violent young man coverd in piercings and tattoos who is very big and makes a point of being as intimidating and angry as possible at all times. He was hanging his laundry out to dry on the clothesline in the back garden, didn't think anyone was around and singing that song yesterday. Needless to say, we took the piss out of him all day for it.
But at least he had the lyrics right.

Diesel: LOL! Yeah...thanks.
Curiosity: I remember us all singing that song at our all-girls camping weekend a few years ago. How come no one told me that I was singing it wrong?? LOL!
Karen: :) Thanks! I laughed out loud too when I realized how stupid I sounded!
Stephen: That is FUNNY! BTW, I think my nieces think I'm insane. We were driving home from Espanola yesterday and I was singing my head off. I swear, those kids must think I'm insane. Whenever I don't know the words to the songs, I make them up. It's more fun that way.
LOL! sorry i just can't say anything else!! LOL!
Conne:
Yes...I know. It was pretty funny. Embarrassing, but funny :)
