About the Blog Author
City girl moves to the country, falls in love, and marries a farmer. She tries to incorporate her city ways with her new country lifestyle and blogs to keep in touch with friends, family & students who live far, far away :) Can this city girl go country? Watch as she learns all sorts of exciting things about life on the farm and in a small rural community. *UPDATE* We are now parents! Our baby girl was born on Nov. 11, 2008 (at 28 weeks gestation- 12 weeks premature, but she's quite the trooper)!!!

You walked into the party
Like you were walking onto a yacht
Your hat strategically dipped below one eye
Your scarf it was apricot
You had one eye in the mirror
As you watched yourself gavotte
And all the girls dreamed that they'd be your partner
They'd be your partner
Is that the song? Heh heh! Beautiful photo by the way.
Wow, that reminds me so much of a few photos I took last December. I'll have to send them to you, they are really similar! Mine were taken on Route 66, near Winslow, Arizona.
okay, more music trivia...
Well, I'm a standin' on a corner in Winslow, Arizona
and such a fine sight to see:
it's a girl, my Lord, in a flat bed Ford
slowin' down to take a look at me.
song?
OMG!!! Joanne, is that "Take It Easy" from the Eagles? LOL! I had it playing in the car the other night on my way home from a meeting. LOVE that tune! :) Would love to see the pics you took!
AHMM: Girl, you know I'm a big Carly Simon fan! I was just being wistful...
You're so vain
You probably think this song is about you
You're so vain
I'll bet you think this song is about you
Don't you? Don't you?
Whenever I hear that song I think of that Kate Hudson and Matthew McConnaughey movie.
Night, y'all!
That is a GORGEOUS photo! You're so talented!
I love that song, by the way!! I want to know who it was written about!
That was an easy one - but I love that song too!
I'd love to know who Carly Simon was referring to as well - James Taylor seems like he's way too nice and down to earth so I hope it's not him!
Chris, I just emailed you those photos to your hotmail acct.
j
Doggy Mama: Yeah, I am curious too! I wonder if we'll ever find out who that mystery person she's referring to is...
I love that song. I was singing it in the car the other day and my dog was just looking at me curiously...and then he put his head on my shoulder and sighed! LOL!
J: I just checked out your Route 66 photos in my hotmail account. WOW! How eerie that they look so similar to mine!!! I've gotta dash, but will write you a proper e-mail in a few days! xo
T: Yes...what was the name of that movie? How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days or something?
I'll bet you think this song is about you
Don't you? Don't you?
We should have a music trivia/name that song contest.
Dreamy architectural view, C! Love it!
Gorgeous shot!
I think she was singing about Mick Jagger, by the way.
Pete: Music trivia...sounds cool! I love that kind of stuff. You should seriously start a blog of your own! I think it would be fun! (Instead of just posting back and forth on this one)
Ms. Mamma: Thank you :) I'm TRYING to take beautiful shots of where I live...but I'm such an amateur compared to you! This is my attempt at an "artsy" shot! LOL!
Karen: Thanks for popping by!!! I have a feeling you're right, by the way! I was reading up on some music history and it sounds like it may be Mick Jagger!
Chrissy - i just love to take photographs and would never say I'm a Pro, at least not yet!
B-E-A-uuuuuuuuuuutiful photo, Chrissy!
Reminds me of the annual church bazaar that was held between the "ruins" and the church every year.
