Today I'm feeling...

kinda sorta really very bummed. Last year, six of my friends have had babies. This year, five of my friends are pregnant. Oh, I'm happy for them. In fact, I'm very happy for them. I'm thrilled! I do realize Hubby and I have been married for less than a year, but all these babies are making me want one right now too! :)

Sorry Christine, it must be hard to see eveyone around you haivng babies when you are so ready and it is just not working out right now. I hope you things happen for you soon...until then, try and focus on the good stuff, k?

Thanks, Jill. I do realize how fortunate I am and how happy I am with everything I have. It sucks to feel that I want more sometimes though, when I should realize how amazing things are at the present. I know we need to spend "alone time" as a a newly wed couple first and enjoy our time together before we add to our family. There are days when I know I need this special time without kids, because once they arrive, it will be hard to have alone time together. I realize this. But just seeing everyone else with little ones makes me want them right now :) LOL! I guess I was just having "one of those days" :)

Thanks, Merinz :) You're such a sweetheart. xo

OH Chrissy, I know you must feel frustrated now that it seems everyone around you is having babies. I know you guys will have your own little bundle of joy very soon. Trust me, you WANT to have this quiet time right now. I'm a mom and sometimes I NEED that time without the husband or the kids! ENJOY this time! I promise, you will understand what I mean later!

Christine, don't worry. I was doing some research once and read in healthy individuals, the average mean for conception when having unprotected sex is usually between 7-8 months. So relax and enjoy the ride(no pun intended). It will happen! In fact here, here's a margarita...

Hey Christine - I know first hand how tough it can be with babies all around, believe you me! We started our family later than planned (explains why I'm the old lady with the toddler!). I agree with the others, it's important to focus on the good things in life as a couple now and really try not to stress about it. And yes, it's near impossible to have alone time now that we have rugrats - I wouldn't trade them for the world, but we did have a good 13 years together Pre-Kids (don't panic - we met young and didn't start trying for kiddies until we were together 10 years).
You're still young and there is time. Keeping my fingers crossed for you :)

hope you're feeling better than when you wrote this post...really don't stress about it, when g-d wants you to have a baby he will give you one-and it will be perfect!! There is really no rush as you are young and have lots of time for kidlets...and i can atest to the fact that once kids come along you will never feel well rested again!!
Focus on each other and enjoy your special time as newlyweds

AHMM: You're right. I realize this time without kids is really important because after having kids we'll never have this kind of alone time again. Even with our student living in our house, I sometimes feel overwhelmed! LOL!

Ms. Mamma: LOL! Thanks for that! :) You always know what to say (and when to say it) to make me feel better. I could still use one of your killer margaritas though! LOL!

Karen: Thanks for the positive comment and thanks for thinking of me :) I guess I just got wrapped up in the fact that it seems EVERYONE is having babies now. People I know who didn't even want to have babies, are having babies! I was also thinking that I'm getting olllllld. 31 is getting up there, isn't it?? LOL!

Dina: Okay, I don't know how you did it, but your comment made me cry! LOL! You are so right...and I am feeling better than when I wrote that post. Some days I think how happy I am to have this freedom of not having to take care of another human being (well, hubby and our student...but it's not the same as taking care of your own kids). I think some days I really enjoy not having to get up for feedings or stuff like that...just having my own time. Then there are days when I just want to have kids RIGHT NOW. LOL! You're right though...all in due time. Thanks for making me feel better :) In the meantime, I get to hog Elie whenever I see you guys! LOL! xoxo

Maybe someone's just trying to tell us that we need to enjoy being newlyweds first :)
