Because it's Spring...
and because Karen (and a few others) asked to hear us sing! Here are the Island Singers at our concert on Monday night. Pretty, yes?

About the Blog Author
City girl moves to the country, falls in love, and marries a farmer. She tries to incorporate her city ways with her new country lifestyle and blogs to keep in touch with friends, family & students who live far, far away :) Can this city girl go country? Watch as she learns all sorts of exciting things about life on the farm and in a small rural community. *UPDATE* We are now parents! Our baby girl was born on Nov. 11, 2008 (at 28 weeks gestation- 12 weeks premature, but she's quite the trooper)!!!

Hey. your blog is very interesting! can we link our blogs? please write back in my blog "everyday glamour" ( theres a shoutbox) but if you write a comment- that would be much better!
This would be nice!
Very pretty, Chris!
So nice to chat to you yesterday! I forgot to tell you how much I love the sweets too, I've never had that carbonated candy before. What's the name of your friend's company again who distributes the Jones candy? I remember going to their site and I think they carry Elvis/James Brown/Devil etc rubber duckies too, which would be good for my shop. The boys are still loving the soap - honestly, I've never seen them excited about soap before! Dylan unpacked the dinosaur soap and put it on the side of the bath right away. The next morning, all I had to do was remind them about the dinosaur soap and they ran to the bathroom - so thank you for that....any little bit of help in the morning is very much appreciated indeed!

Chrissy
Nice
You're the shortest one there. Why don't they put you on the front row?
Chililady:
Thanks for popping by! I will certainly link you to my blog :)
Miss Moneypenny:
LOL! No prob! The lady who owns the Soap Factory has sons too, so she said that those soaps were ideal for getting the kids to love bath time! Kids just love taking LONG baths when they have those soaps! LOL!
It was soooooooo good to talk to you on the phone yesterday too! If I don't get a chance to talk to you again before you leave, have fun in England!! :)
PS. My friend's candy link is located on the right side of my blog. Just click on the BigSkyBrands link. That's them! :)
Uncivil:
Yes...I AM the shortest person there! Our conductor mentioned that perhaps I will be moved next time. LOL! I'm 5'1" and I wore flats because I didn't think I could stand that long in heels! :)
Miss Moneypenny:
I forgot to tell you...if you ever want me to send more dinosaur soaps for the boys, just let me know and I'll happily oblige ;)
OR I can take you to the Soap Factory when you come visit! ;)
PS. Have you ever thought of selling the BigSkyBrands candy in your shop? ;) LOL! :) They're a Toronto company, so it's sort of local! Oh, and the tins for the candy are just wayyyy too cool!
Big Sky, that's it - thanks! If I have that candy in my store, you know what's going to happen....I'm going to end up scarfing the lot! I already had to get rid of the charity Cadbury's chocolate display that I had on my front cash. 3pm hits and my mind starts turning to chocolate...
I was actually thinking that the soap would be great for the shop. I love the goldfish in the bag, so cute! Do they manufacture many different varieties of soap for kids?
j
Thats beautiful Chrissy. Great voices, and what a wonderful way of welcoming Spring. Beautiful.
J:
They actually DO make different varieties of kids' soaps! They've got a line of girlie ones (little trinkets inside like rings and charms). They've got bugs, dinosaurs, lizards and all sorts of other ones for boys. My absolute fave is the goldfish bag! TOO cute!!! I was even thinking of getting one for myself! LOL! That little goldfish is too cute!
The Soap Factory is a small mother-daughter business. They don't mass produce their products. Everything is made by hand and individually cut, wrapped, labeled, etc. Did I give you their brochure? Their contact info is on there :) That would be a cool thing to have in your store :) Cheers!
CK:
Thanks! I was actually waiting to hear what you thought...seeing how your profession involves music!! :)
J:
One more thing! The Manitoulin Soap Factory also has other soaps kids will enjoy...like the Jelly Bean soap. It's really colorful and inside the soap it looks like there are a bunch of jelly beans inside! Fun! There's also this one soap that my student likes. It's called "I C U" and there's an eyeball inside! Creepy, but boys tend to like that one. The eyeball is one of those popper thingies, where you invert it and put it on a flat surface and the thing pops up. Pretty neat.
Okay, now you and Dylan really have to come up and check out the Soap Factory for yourselves! LOL! :)
Beautiful chorus! You look and sound great!
tdzWow!....my mom is 5'2". I'm kinda short for a guy just over 5'8".
Dynomite comes in small packages baby!
Very nice Chrissy. You lot sound very good together.
Cool! I'm sure you had fun! it was a good thing you posted your video here. atleast, we still get to see you perform.
Thanks for that Chrissy - I played it while having my morning coffee - perfect for spring! You all sounded awesome!
I noticed that you were "lost" in there too - you definitely deserve front row centre next time, and not just because of your height :).
Doggy Mama:
Thank you! It was so much fun. We have one more concert in June. Too bad you guys won't be here :(
Uncivil:
:) That's what I say! I've always been told that good things come in small packages! Oh! Your mom is taller than me! Well, I am just happy that I'm still taller than my mom! :) LOL! My mom's so little. She's so cute!
Pete:
Thank you! I was expecting a different response from you, actually! LOL! ;) Thanks for the kind words.
Conne:
Yes, I promised I'd post a video! I have several others, but the files were so big that I couldn't upload them properly! Grrr!
Karen:
Tee hee! You're so cute! Yes, unfortunately, I'm somewhat vertically challenged! LOL!
Karen:
I think I'd be nervous being in the front row though! That way everyone would be able to see me! *gasp*
