What were you doing 10 years ago?
I was finishing university and working as a supply teacher in Newmarket, Ontario. Little did I know, I would soon be leaving for one of the biggest adventures of my life! I'd be leaving to teach overseas :)

What were you doing 1 year ago?
This time last year, I was preparing all the last minute details for my wedding. Being engaged was such a fun and exciting time. All the planning and prepping for the biggest day of my life was so fun! For the most part, all the wedding planning went smoothly and perfectly. It was only the extra 'help' (okay, unsolicited advice) from outside sources that drove me bonkers. Near the end, I have to admit that I turned into Bridezilla!! I remember crying and getting upset when other people tried to tell me what to do, how to do things...when it was my (okay, our) wedding. Anyway, this time last year, I was going in for my wedding dress fittings and finalizing little details.

Five snacks you enjoy
1) applesauce
2) tortilla chips and salsa
3) trail mix
4) pineapple wedges
5) crackers and cheese

Five songs to which you know all the lyrics:
1) I'll be there for you (Bon Jovi)
2) Dust in the Wind (Kansas)
3) I'll be there (Jackson5)
4) Time After Time (Cyndi Lauper)
5) Material Girl (Madonna)

Five things you would do if you were a millionaire:
1) Give some of my money to my parents and brothers
2) Give some of my money to a few charities of my choice
3) Go on a trip around the world with my husband
4) Throw a big party for all my friends and family
5) Buy my husband some new farm equipment! (LOL! Yes, we'd still keep the farm even if we were millionaires!)

Five bad habits:
1) I sometimes don't think before I talk
2) I sometimes don't put things back where I got them from :(
3) I sometimes don't open my mail for days...or even weeks!
4) I go on Facebook way too much!
5) I sometimes don't eat breakfast, but make sure everyone else does!

Five things you like doing:
1) spending time with hubby
2) visiting friends and family/traveling
3) gardening
4) grooming Chance (he loves being brushed and groomed, though you couldn't tell by the way he looks!)
5) blogging

Five things you would never wear again:
1) anything fluorescent!
2) jelly shoes
3) banana clips
4) goomy bracelets
5) blue eyeshadow and red lipstick (Hey, Madonna and Jem and the Holograms were cool in the 80s!)

Five favorite toys:
1) my computer
2) my cell phone
3) my PS2
4) wood splitter (not ours, but I want one!)
5) Flat screen TV given to us at my bridal shower! My maid of honor and all the gals at the shower are the BEST!

Chrissy, weddings, the best of times and worst of times chuckle! I was Bridezilla on my day too - couldn't centre my veil/headpiece on right enough - one of my bridesmaids was ready to get a nail and hammer it into my head, apparently!
You are a very healthy snacker - and hey, I seem to recall that you know all the words to "Natural Woman" ? :)
Liam would think you're so cool - your PS2 - pretty sweet!

HAHAHA!!! Karen, you are too funny! I adore you! The "Natural Woman" comment just cracked me up! You have a great memory! You mean it really isn't "you make me feel like a man should a woman"???

Yeah...Bridezilla...*sigh* I was doing so well until the night BEFORE the wedding! LOL! I won't get into it further on here, but I was a mess! Oh, and it was all about the veil too! LOL!

Why are your snacks so freakin' healthy? Please revise this list to include something deep fried or covered in chocolate so that I won't feel so bad that I am sitting here with a two pound bag of Twizzlers on my lap.

Oh my Gosh! You have got to love a woman that has a "wood Splitter" on her favorite toys list!!!!!

I see you tagged hubby! We have got to see his list! Please tell him to get with it! That would be cool!

I'm so depressed that you don't have a sister!

I got a chainsaw and you got a wood splitter!LMAO

Mist:
Yeah, I suppose those are sickeningly healthy, aren't they? Well, I could add chocolate to the list. I don't eat it often, but I do like chocolate! My chocolate bar of choice would have to be a Kit Kat bar. Hmmm...not that you've got me going on about chocolate, I do like my homemade chocolate chip cookies! Speaking of homemade stuff, I love fried won tons! Oh...err...grrr...Look what you've done to my healthy snack food list, Mist!!!

Uncivil:
Yes, isn't it funny that one of my favorite toys is a wood splitter?!?! I can split WAY more cords of wood in one day on a splitter than in a week by hand (by ax)!!! I know it's cheating, but you still have to lift the wood onto the splitter! Oh, and pile it too!

Don't you think it's funny how city girl really loves splitting fire wood?? LOL!

PS. Jimmy, you are hilarious!! Much to my dismay, I don't have a sister. If I did though, I'd hook you guys up! ;) Then I'd ask you both to come help me cut/split/pile firewood! LOL! I was totally being serious that time! ;)

Chrissy
I'd have a wood splitter if I had to cut and split wood to heat with!
Just handling and stacking the wood is hard enough work. You're my hero girl!

I would still have to grab the ax every once in a while to get my frustrations out!LOL

I used to love it when I was in my 30's and 40's , and we would get new college kids on our Survey Party for the summer.

They couldn't believe an old man would put them to shame with a bush ax, or an eight pound hammer and a bag of fine grade stakes. I used to love to drive fine grade stakes for the roadway, when most everybody else hated it!

I would just as soon give the college geeks the field book, calculator, and the total station.

Now I just push a pencil and peck at the keypads on the calculator, in between weighing, washing, drying, and cooling my asphalt samples! Basically, a lot of standing around "holding finger in the ass". LOL! We don't have a shovel to lean on in the office!

ahahaha! You're such a goody two shoe sweetheart!! Healthy snack food and selfless habits. Can you be bad once in a while? LOL

Love ya. Thanks for doing the meme!

LOL! You are tooooooooo funny!
BTW, I've been pricing and researching wood splitters since I would love to buy one! I've borrowed a friend's last year and LOVED it! I know a place here that rents them too. We'll see, but hopefully soon I can have one of my very own! Of course, it would help hubby out a lot if I can split the wood faster too! I just think it's so much fun! It's not as much of a workout as splitting with an ax, but you still have to lift those huge pieces of wood onto the splitter itself!

CK:
Yeah, I am turning over a new leaf! LOL! ;) My teens and early to mid 20's were my time to be carefree and irresponsible. Now I have a family to take care of and need to try to be a good! I'm doing okay in that area for the most part...at least I think so! LOL! I'm very happy with the way my life has headed :) I had some pretty wild and crazy times and I still have a blast. I'm still the same person but not as crazy and wild. I did some very stupid things when I was younger and can look back and laugh at how stupid I was :) Good fun! Good times! I don't think I miss those days. I will remember them with fondness and embrace my new life at the same time. Oh, and the snacks...those are just snacks I like to have on a regular basis. If I were to list snacks I like to indulge in once in a while, I'd have to say chocolate fondue (strawberries, banana, etc), cheese fondue, fried wontons, empanadas...the list goes on! We'll have a great time when you come over. We got a fondue set for one of our wedding presents. We still haven't opened it! Maybe you can help us do the honours and use it for the first time!
