NaBloPoMo Day 26: What Ever Happened To...
Have you ever caught yourself thinking, "What ever happened to that really good friend I had when I was a kid?" Where is she now? What's she doing? I wonder if she still lives in the same neighbourhood we grew up in or did she leave the city?
How about, "I wonder what ever happened to that ex-boyfriend I had way back when I was a naive, foolish young adult?"
These things don't often cross my mind. Life is too busy to think about things like that. I have to admit that every once in a while, when a particular song comes on the radio when I'm driving or a certain movie is on TV, sometimes I think of people from my past.
I wonder why we do that? Should we even care? What do you think?

About the Blog Author
City girl moves to the country, falls in love, and marries a farmer. She tries to incorporate her city ways with her new country lifestyle and blogs to keep in touch with friends, family & students who live far, far away :) Can this city girl go country? Watch as she learns all sorts of exciting things about life on the farm and in a small rural community. *UPDATE* We are now parents! Our baby girl was born on Nov. 11, 2008 (at 28 weeks gestation- 12 weeks premature, but she's quite the trooper)!!!

I have wondered "what ever happened to so and so." I've found pretty much everyone I wondered about, except one. For me, the people I wondered about meant something to me at some point in time and I wanted to know the person they had become. Because the person I am now was molded in some way by that particular person. I am also a very curious person, so that's another reason why I wonder. :)
Taylor:
Great answer! I feel the same way. I have to admit that I am a curious person (aren't we all, by nature?). So true about people in our lives and in our past meaning something to us (in the past) and that they helped create the people we are today.
I do that quite often. Some of the people Ive found on facebook, but some I havent & I continue to wonder. I also always wonder if anyone ever wonders about ME, hehe
I so wonder about different people... sure hope they are well and what they are up to these days. I moved often when I was younger. Now that I have lived the same little town for over 20 years and even lived in the same house... longer than ever in my life before, I feel grounded and easy to find if anyone is looking for me.
Surely it must be normal, like everyone else on here has said, to be curious and to wonder about people from our past. I do all the time.
