Lavish Dream
I have a secret. I've always been jealous of women with lots of thick, voluminous hair. Mine is straight, flat, thin, and fine. Even if I spend hours trying to get volume by using product, velcro rollers, big round brushes, and a hairdryer, my hair only ends up flat again within an hour or so. Yes, my friends. I have hair envy.
Hair, make-up, accessories, clothing...all fun to play with and change up your look from time to time. The above photos are of me with my mousy, frustrating, uncooperative hair and me with the Lavish Dream hair.
Hair really does change a person's look and the way a person feels. You know that feeling you get when you step out of a salon? You feel fabulous and invincible! Yes, that feeling. You feel like a million bucks because you look gorgeous. A good haircut and a good style will often do the trick. I don't know about you, but I am sometimes tempted to ask my hairdresser to live with me so she can do my hair for me every day!
I also have to say that since I left my life in the city and moved to the countryside, I feel I don't look or dress the same as I did in the city. Now, going out without make-up is not uncommon. Running errands in town with my hair in a ponytail all the time is also the norm for me. I was starting to feel a bit frumpy. Sure, when you live in the countryside and 'dress up' or wear make-up, people look at you a bit funny. I can't wear my sexy heels or gorgeous boots out because the roads are gravel and I'd probably break my ankle! Plus, where am I going to wear fancy shoes to? The barn?
I was shocked (and excited!) when Lavish Dream asked me to be one of their Lavish Dream Bloggers. The timing couldn't have been more perfect! Yay! I get to reclaim some of my grooming habits from when I was in the city! I have friends who use extensions and I never knew that they did!
Honestly, you would never ever guess that some of my friends use extensions. It looks just like their own hair! They use them to give volume, length, and to just have more fun with their hairstyles. A few friends have used funky colours (great if you don't want to dye your hair all different colours) and some use their natural hair colour.
Here's a closer look...
I'm not sure if you can tell, but there is quite a bit more 'body'. I still haven't mastered how to use them and found it a little challenging to place on myself because I couldn't see what I was doing. I think I'm going to get a friend to come over and help me next time.
This is what I received:
This is what the hair looks like. The easy to use clip in hair extensions are made with the finest quality human hair. You choose the shade that is closest to your hair colour. You can create length, fullness, and thickness all the while looking natural.
I have to admit that my first time trying the Lavish Dream hair extensions had me feeling a little nervous.
First impression:
- The quality is superb
- The pieces were a little heavier than I had expected them to be
- Putting them in was not difficult, but it was a bit awkward doing it to my own head of hair when I couldn't really see what I was doing
- It looks like my own hair
- The length was a lot longer than I expected
- Overall experience was great
I'm excited about the look and am hoping to master using them. Thank goodness Lavish Dream instructional videos! Yes, they have online tutorials!

I love this! You look fantastic!!
They look great!
I've always wondered about hair extensions. I can't grow mine long because it's too thick and give me headaches (sorry hon) so to have extensions would be awesome.
