Happy Valentine's Day!!!
What comes to mind when you think about Valentine's Day? Immediately, I think hearts, CHOCOLATE, roses (how cliche!), sappy cards, and other trinkets of affection. I think about all the recipes I can make for Hubby that include chocolate, chocolate...and more chocolate! Perhaps a chocolate torte, chocolate covered strawberries, chocolate truffles, chocolate cheesecake, etc. Oh, and of course, I always make a special Valentine's dinner for him. We also go to the Greek Dinner in "the village" on Valentine's weekend.
This year, all I can think about is this:She's our little Valentine. We love her to bits! Sorry, Hubby (if you're reading this). I doubt I'll be getting around to whipping up all your favourites this Valentine's Day. Your Little One has been keeping me VERY busy!
More photos of our little preemie:Wearing the adorable pink (with brown polka dots) outfit that Humps 'N Bump gave her when she visited us while Little One was still in the hospital. Thank you, Humps! xoYes, you don't even have to say it. I know I look exhausted in this photo! I've been very lucky that Little One is a pretty low maintenance/easy baby though.
Anyone doing anything exciting/romantic for Valentine's Day? I think I'll be happy if I can just get more than 3 hrs of uninterrupted sleep! :)

City girl moves to the country, falls in love, and marries a farmer. She tries to incorporate her city ways with her new country lifestyle and blogs to keep in touch with friends, family & students who live far, far away :) Can this city girl go country? Watch as she learns all sorts of exciting things about life on the farm and in a small rural community. *UPDATE* We are now parents! Our baby girl was born on Nov. 11, 2008 (at 28 weeks gestation- 12 weeks premature, but she's quite the trooper)!!!

She looks absolutely adorable. :) So glad to hear that you and the whole family are doing so well. Thanks for the comments on my bump pics. I'm now 31 weeks!! Can you believe it?!
*humps*
Yeah, we're going to (insert vulgar sexual verbs and innuendos here) all day and night.
pause.
Seriously, we're just going out to dinner at JRDN (blogged that place in early summer for my gay boyfriend's bday)in Pacific Beach.
cute pix of the baby!!! you should take a photo of her every week with the same stuffed animal and chart her growth that way. : )
re: Valentine's day,
I'm not a big romantic. i don't like huge shows of public affection; I don't like candy so much - fattening. Flowers are pretty but flowers die. I don't need jewelry. my wedding ring is just fine.
Oh she is such a little chubby chops!
You all have a very happy Valentines Day - all three of you!
Ha.....you've already got the best Valintines a mamma could have!
Happy Valentines to ya!
Happy Valentine's Day to you and all your hearts, Luv.
Love, love, love the cow.
Happy Valentine's!
You do not look exhausted, you look gorgeous, you are a Mom! And just look at Little One, not so little anymore ;)
What a sweet little girl. I like caninecologne's idea with the stuffed animal. Cute!
Have a wonderful Valentine's day. Just being together is the best gift of all, after your long separation.
Humps:
HOLY SMOKES! 31 weeks already!?! Where on earth did time just fly? Remember when I was first admitted to the hospital, you were just starting to show!?! WOW! Very soon, my friend...very soon! That little star of yours will be making his/her appearance before you know it! xo
Canine:
HAHAHA! OMG! I had a feeling you were going to say something like that! Too funny!!
Great idea about the stuffed animal/baby growth thing! I think we'll do that! :) You're a genius :)
As for Valentine's Day...I'm the same as you.
Merinz:
Tee hee! Chubby chops! I love that.
Jimbo:
You are sooooooooo right :) Happy V-day to you too, my sweet! ;p
Jeanna:
I thought you'd like the cow! :) I'll be posting a chocolate post for you this week.
happy v day sweetie!!
i had grand plans but instead here i sit online 8:20 pm on valentinesday! ended up having dinner with the in-laws...how romantic?!?!
as for the sleep issue- my LO is almost 8 months and i still haven't had 3 hours uninterupted sleep yet!
Beachmama:
I can't believe how little sleep one can survive on. Crazy. Now I know what moms mean when they say "when baby sleeps, you sleep"! When does that give you time to clean the house, cook, etc? I even have a hard time working in toilet breaks and shower time! LOL!
J:
So true about being together=the best gift of all. I love Canine's idea too. I think we'll do that!
Dina:
So funny...I was going to call you today, but LO kept me busy. She's ALWAYS hungry (the past few days). Ohhhh...you're not getting 3 hrs of uninterrupted sleep now? Wow. At what age do most babies sleep for longer stretches of time?
The nurses and doctors have told me that LO should nurse every 3 hrs and if she sleeps for more than 4-5 hrs to wake her up to feed her. I'm guessing because she's still little and needs to eat/grow? She's pretty much like clock work though. She wakes every 3 hrs on her own.
hi c and ladies!
that idea was from a friend of mine. do i have a series pics of my own daughter with a stuffed toy (in our case, a huge Pokemon Pikachu)? Very few! ha ha. I only did a few, then forgot. :( Bad mom!
If you're consistent with the photos, it's really cool to see how big she gets. one of my gf's did that and it was really amazing.
Happy Valentine's Day! It looks like you are doing great! I hope you get six hours of uninterrupted sleep soon!!
