Unbelievable!!!

Isn't this absolutely crazy??? My mom sent me an e-mail about these marzipan babies. Thought you'd be as fascinated with these as I. These are made with marzipan....really unbelievable! While some of the faces may look "crafted" rather than "real", every detail is amazing, and the rest looks VERY real.

Definition of Marzipan A, Almond paste: a sweet paste made of ground almonds and sugar, often with egg whites or yolks, used as a layer in cakes or molded into ornamental shapes.

<--This one kind of looks like my hubby when he was a baby! Too cute! LOL I can't believe these babies are made of marzipan. Crazy!

Argh. I stand corrected. I did some research, and the marzipan babies are not made of marzipan, but of polymer clay. The artist, Camille Allen, is nonetheless a very talented sculptor. Ah well. Still kinda neat.

And she's Canadian- was surprised that she's from BC. Anyway the polymar clay babies are very cute. I want one!!!!!! one of thoe even looks like my little Jordy, don't you think?

Yeah. I checked out the artist's site (www.camilleallen.com). She's tremendously talented. The price of one of her dolls is pretty hefty though.
