Thank You!

Thank you to all of you. You truly have helped make this process a little easier for me. All my friends and family who read the blog (and don't comment often!!!!) and the blog friends who have been a constant source of support...thank you so, so, soooooo much.

I know this is a bit late, but I would really like to thank some of you for thinking of me while I was on complete bed rest for the pregnancy. I never had a chance to send out thank you cards or proper e-mail messages to you. You know I appreciate your kindness and thoughtfulness. I've just been really overwhelmed with having just had a baby and not being able to be with her because she'll be in the NICU for weeks or even months.
Canine Cologne, thank you for the package you sent for the baby and me. I love all the things you've included. The CD is awesome! Love the earrings, books and everything else too! The card, as always was the best part. XOXO
Rosie, thank you for thinking of me while I was in the hospital and for providing me with LOTS of reading material! I really thought I'd get a chance to read all the books (since I devoured the Twilight books in a matter of days), but soon after I received the books you sent, I was sent to Labour and Delivery!
Humps n Bump visited me just days before I went into labour. Funny. I was telling Humps that I was hoping to make it to at least week 32 or 34! She brought me a lucky bamboo plant. Sorry about the icky photo Hubby took of me ;)

Thank you to my aunts who visited me. One of them gave me a lucky Chinese jade fertility god. Hmph! I don't think it was so lucky because I went into labour the night I put it on!!!

Another aunt gave me a rosary and then she asked me, "Do you still remember how to say your prayers with the rosary?".

Thank you also to Ms.Mamma and J. Ms. Mamma, I was so surprised to see a HUGE box delivered to my hospital room the day before I gave birth to the little one! I have to post photos of the present you sent her. It's awesome! It'll look great in her room!

J, thanks for the card you sent. It was really touching and I am keeping it in my bag for when I need a pick me up :)

I guess you're all wondering how the little one is doing. She had a great day today. No spells and she might even be on full feed by this weekend. She's been given 5 cc of milk every 2 hrs and is tolerating it. Tonight she will try 6 cc. Once she is on full feed, she can get another one of those attachments taken out (the one attached to her belly button that is kind of like an IV line)! Yippeee! Let me tell you, she is one chunky little monkey! :) I got to the hospital this morning and she looked soooooooooo chubby! Her legs, belly, arms and face look chubby! I told Hubby that if there's one thing our daughter inherited from him, it's her appetite! She loves her food!!!

Hi Chris!
I'm reading this at 7:51 pm, but it says you posted it at 8:09 pm! Maybe I'm in a twilight zone... That could explain a lot.
Glad to hear things are going well with R-A! We'd love to see more pictures, but we know how busy you are. I bet she's just such a cutie!
Take care, and miss you!
EA

Hi E! Yes, I saw that little blip! I've been having some probs with Blogger and my posts this week. Weird! ;p

I have TONS of photos of the baby but haven't uploaded them yet! I've been taking lots of photos EVERY day! You will not believe how much she has changed! She's a little piggy! She LOVES her milk! I can't believe she's on 6 cc already! Just the other day she was on 1 cc!

Promise to post new photos of the bebee this weekend :)

Miss you too! XOXO

Wow, you got your card already? I mailed it Monday. That's crazy!

I'm glad your little 'chunky monkey' is doing so well! I'm so relieved that she's healthy and strong.

My mom used to worry about me, because I was a premie, and everything my brother got (mumps, chicken pox, etc), I got 10x worse. The doctor told her I was clearly a fighter and she had nothing to worry about. I think your little CM (chunky monkey) is a fighter as well. :)

Thank you :) I'm TRYING to take care of me too, but that part seems to be something I need to work on. Right now things have been all about the baby and by the time I leave the hospital every evening, I'm ready to crash. I have been falling asleep on the subway and the bus on my way home each day. I don't seem to have much of an appetite, which is probably weird because most moms I've spoken to have said that when they breast feed, they are absolutely ravenous after. I'm pumping every two hours but am too tired to eat! I do eat and drink lots of water and milk though (obviously...I need to fuel myself so I can keep going), but the appetite is pretty much not there.

Thank you soooo much for the card! I was so excited (and surprised) when the nurse in the NICU tracked me down (wasn't hard to find...I'm either in the pumping room or by the Chunky Monkey's incubator)! Your words just lifted me up and I wasn't joking when I said I am going to keep it in my purse for when I need a pick me up. It couldn't have come at a better time too.

You mentioned something in a previous comment about premies. Something about how girls seem to have more fight in them when they're that small. That's not the first time I've heard something like this. I know this is totally different, but my MIL always told me that it seems for some reason that the females are usually the stronger (more of the fighting type) and have more will to live. Something about how the males (when sick or weak at birth) seem to give up and lose the will to live. I think she was refering to calves though, but she mentioned the same in humans too. Don't know of it's true or not, but it is interesting!

How awesome that she is almost up to full feed. She is doing fabulously. Hope you are getting a chance to take some time for you during all this. I know it is hard with Hubby far away, but try to treat yourself to a little something each day.

If you could email me your snail mail, I have a little something for you too!

Oh, it's so great to read that the little one is growing and improving every day. Take good care of yourself as well. Get as much sleep as you can. Am praying you will both be home sooner than the docs think.

"Chunky Monkey"? That's adorable, however she might not prefer that in a few years when she gets to school! Hugs!!!!

I'm happy you had many people think of you during this time. :)

I'm also happy that your hubby brought you our gift.. even though you ended up not being able to read them. They're yours, so you'll get a chance someday. ;)

We're happy your littel girl is doign well. Miss Coadjutress, Miss Smarty-Pants and Mister Kinetic are all staring at your baby's pictures and smiling. They all say: "Allo, on espère que tu te sens bien." To which I'll say :"Oui, parce que si tu ne peux pas te sentir, fait toi sentir par un autre!" Heeheehee.

Luv ya lots,
Rosie & Jamie & the TellingMom Brood.
